New & Used 2026 Mazda MAZDA3 for Sale near Pembroke Pines, FL

Is the 2026 Mazda MAZDA3 a good car?

The 2026 Mazda MAZDA3 earns a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

It stands out in the compact-car class because it brings style and athleticism to a segment that often prioritizes value over personality. You also get a cabin that can feel like entry-level luxury, plus a driving experience that’s more engaging than many small cars. That makes it a strong fit if you want a compact car that feels upscale and fun rather than purely practical.

The main trade-offs are the underwhelming base engine and the cramped back seat. The outdated technology is another drawback if you want the latest infotainment features.

Even with those compromises, the 2026 Mazda MAZDA3 remains distinctive, and 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2026 Mazda MAZDA3 reliable?

The 2026 Mazda MAZDA3 is presented as a mature, long-running design that has aged gracefully, which supports a generally reassuring ownership profile. Its base engine is described as adequately powered, and the ride and handling balance suggests a car that should feel composed in everyday use.

The expert notes also describe the cabin as solidly built and free of creaks or squeaks, which is a good sign for day-to-day durability. The performance writeup adds that the engine doesn’t sound overstressed even when you ask for more power, which points to a drivetrain that isn’t being pushed beyond its comfort zone.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the car’s age and modest tech content may make it feel dated sooner than some rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Mazda MAZDA3?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or a car with optional equipment. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the car’s features and trim level match what you expect from the listing.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base setup gives you the Mazda 3’s upscale design and solid cabin quality, but the higher trims add meaningful equipment. The Select Sport brings blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, while the top Turbo Premium Plus adds more premium and convenience features.
• Powertrain: The standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder makes 191 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque, while the Turbo version increases output to 227 hp and 310 lb-ft on regular fuel, or 250 hp and 320 lb-ft with premium fuel. AWD is standard on the Carbon Edition and 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus.
• Safety package: i-Activsense is standard and includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams, and a driver condition monitor. The Select Sport adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and the top Turbo Premium Plus adds adaptive headlights, a head-up display, lane centering, a surround-view camera system, and reverse automatic braking.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses an 8.8-inch display with a dial controller rather than a touchscreen. Higher-trim Turbo models get a 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless charging pad.
• Fuel efficiency: The AWD Carbon Edition returns an EPA-estimated 30 mpg combined, while the Turbo models are estimated at 27 mpg combined.

Which 2026 Mazda MAZDA3 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Mazda MAZDA3 is offered in 6 trim levels: 2.5 S, 2.5 S Select Sport, 2.5 S Preferred, 2.5 S Carbon Edition, 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus, and 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5 S: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Mazda 3’s core strengths: stylish design, a refined cabin, and standard i-Activsense safety tech. It makes sense if you want the lowest price and don’t need extra features.
• 2.5 S Select Sport: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert without moving too far up the price ladder. If you want a smarter daily driver, this is the trim to target.
• 2.5 S Preferred: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel without jumping to the turbo models. It builds on the lower trims with more comfort-oriented equipment.
• 2.5 S Carbon Edition: This trim stands out for pairing AWD with the base engine, giving you extra traction and a more distinctive setup. It’s a good fit if you want the Mazda 3’s style and handling with added confidence in poor weather.
• 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus: This is the choice if you want the strongest performance and the most features. It adds the turbocharged engine, AWD, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, a wireless charging pad, adaptive headlights, a head-up display, lane centering, a surround-view camera system, reverse automatic braking, and a 12-speaker Bose audio system.

The top Turbo Premium Plus trim also gets the most complete safety and convenience package, while the Select Sport is the value pick for buyers who want more everyday safety equipment without stretching to the top end.

Is the 2026 Mazda MAZDA3 safe?

The 2026 Mazda MAZDA3 earns five-star ratings in all NHTSA evaluations, and the IIHS gives it a Top Safety Pick+ award with Good scores in all crash tests.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

All 2026 Mazda MAZDA3 models come standard with i-Activsense, which includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams, and a driver condition monitor. The Select Sport trim adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and the top Turbo Premium Plus adds adaptive headlights, a head-up display, lane centering, a surround-view camera system, and reverse automatic braking.

One caveat is that the adaptive cruise control was noted to react slowly to slowing traffic in testing, which can make highway driving feel less polished than the crash-test results suggest.

Should I buy a 2026 Mazda MAZDA3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• The 2026 stands out for its upscale cabin, spirited driving feel, and available AWD.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It adds value with a new base version of the 2.5 S and more feature content in select trims.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of this compact car’s style-and-driving-character formula, the 2026 is the better default choice. If you’re shopping mainly for value and want a similar overall experience, the 2025 is worth a look.
