New & Used 2026 Mazda CX-30 for Sale nearFort Collins, CO

Is the 2026 Mazda CX-30 a good car?

Yes — the 2026 Mazda CX-30 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.00/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

The CX-30’s appeal is that it feels more like an entry-luxury crossover than a basic small SUV, with good looks, an upscale interior, rewarding driving dynamics, promising reliability, and top-notch safety ratings. It is especially well suited to you if you care more about a polished cabin and a fun-to-drive character than maximum space.

The trade-offs are clear: rear seat room and cargo space are cramped, and the infotainment controls are fussy. Even so, the market shows 39.6% good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2026 Mazda CX-30 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The CX-30 is described as promising reliability, and Mazda’s long-term reliability standing is presented as strong relative to the broader brand landscape. The standard drivetrain is tuned to feel lively enough for most drivers, and the vehicle’s overall design, quality, safety, and dependability are highlighted as key strengths.

Mazda also includes connected-services features such as automatic 911 notification, remote engine start, remote door-lock access, a vehicle finder, and Wi-Fi connectivity. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the cabin is compact, so you should make sure the space and tech layout work for your daily routine before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Mazda CX-30?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment. Focus on the condition of the infotainment controls, the cabin materials, and the driver-assistance systems, since those are the areas most likely to affect day-to-day satisfaction.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S trim is the simplest starting point, with an 8.8-inch display, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and basic voice recognition. S Select Sport adds wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and Alexa built-in, while S Preferred brings a 10.25-inch screen, touchscreen functionality for smartphone projection, and wireless charging. The Aire Edition adds blacked-out exterior trim and accents, white artificial leather upholstery, cloth or simulated suede inserts, light gray contrast stitching, and suede-like dashboard trim. The top trims add more luxury and convenience, including a Bose audio system on the upper four trims and a surround-view camera on the S Premium and turbo models.
• Powertrain: Every CX-30 uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a six-speed automatic and AWD. The standard setup makes 186 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque, while the turbocharged version makes 227 hp and 310 lb-ft on regular gas or 250 hp and 320 lb-ft on premium. Fuel economy is 27 mpg combined with the standard engine and 25 mpg combined with the turbo.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and a safe exit alert. S Preferred adds front and rear parking sensors plus rear automatic braking. The S Premium and two turbocharged models get a surround-view camera system, and the Turbo Premium Plus adds Cruising and Traffic Support with lane-centering assist and low-speed traffic support.
• Infotainment: The S uses an 8.8-inch display with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. S Select Sport adds wireless smartphone integration and Alexa built-in. Starting with S Preferred, the screen grows to 10.25 inches and adds touchscreen functionality for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus wireless charging. Mazda Connect still relies on the center-console knob for native functions, so you should make sure that interface suits you.
• Fuel efficiency: The standard engine is rated at 27 mpg combined, while the turbo is rated at 25 mpg combined. In testing, the standard 2.5 S Aire Edition averaged 28.5 mpg on a mixed loop and 25.5 mpg on a mountainous route.

Which 2026 Mazda CX-30 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Mazda CX-30 is offered in 8 trim levels: S, S Select Sport, S Preferred, S Aire Edition, S Carbon Edition, S Premium, Turbo Aire Edition, and Turbo Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core CX-30 formula: AWD, the 2.5-liter engine, an automatic transmission, an 8.8-inch display, wired smartphone integration, and the standard safety suite. It makes sense if you want the least expensive way into the model and are comfortable with the basic infotainment setup.
• S Select Sport: This trim adds wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and Alexa built-in, which makes it a smarter everyday choice than the base model if you value convenience. It is a strong value step up because it improves the tech experience without changing the CX-30’s core character.
• S Preferred: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the larger 10.25-inch screen, touchscreen functionality for smartphone projection, wireless charging, front and rear parking sensors, and rear automatic braking. If you want the most balanced mix of comfort, tech, and safety, this is the one to target.
• S Aire Edition: This trim is about style, with blacked-out exterior details and a distinctive interior treatment that gives the CX-30 a more upscale look and feel. It suits you if appearance matters and you want the cabin to feel more special.
• S Carbon Edition: This trim is part of the lineup, but the provided details do not add a distinct equipment story beyond the broader CX-30 package.
• S Premium: This trim adds a surround-view camera system and the Bose premium audio system, making it a better fit if you want a more upscale daily driver.
• Turbo Aire Edition: This trim combines the Aire Edition’s styling with the turbocharged powertrain, so it is for you if you want more power and the same distinctive look.
• Turbo Premium Plus: This is the most fully equipped version, with the turbo engine, surround-view camera, Bose audio, and Cruising and Traffic Support with lane-centering assist. It is the pick if you want the most advanced and most luxurious CX-30.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, but the S Preferred is the first trim to add front and rear parking sensors and rear automatic braking, while the S Premium and turbo models gain the surround-view camera system.

Is the 2026 Mazda CX-30 safe?

The 2026 Mazda CX-30 earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in all crash tests and a four-star rollover resistance rating. It also earns the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award, with top Good or Good+ ratings in every assessment except vehicle-to-vehicle front crash prevention, which is rated Acceptable.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety suite includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and a safe exit alert. Higher trims add front and rear parking sensors, rear automatic braking, a surround-view camera system, and, on the Turbo Premium Plus, Cruising and Traffic Support with lane-centering assist.

One caveat is that the front crash prevention system is not rated at the top IIHS level, so if that feature matters most to you, you should pay close attention to trim choice and test the system during your inspection drive.

Should I buy a 2026 Mazda CX-30 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• This year adds new Aire Edition trims, drivetrain and suspension enhancements, and a larger infotainment screen.

The bottom line: If you want the most polished version of the CX-30’s formula, the 2026 model is the one to target because it builds on the model’s style, safety, and driving enjoyment with meaningful updates. If your priority is simply finding the lowest price, a nearby model year may still make sense, but you should expect the 2026 to be the more appealing choice if you value the latest improvements.
