New & Used 2026 Lexus TX for Sale near Minnesota

Is the 2026 Lexus TX a good car?

The 2026 Lexus TX earns an expert rating of 7/10. The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

It stands out as Lexus’s full-size three-row SUV, and its main appeal is straightforward: you get a spacious option in a stylish package. For buyers who want a large family SUV with a third row that is meant to be genuinely usable, that combination is the TX’s biggest draw.

The trade-offs are clear, too. Unintuitive technology can make everyday use more frustrating than it should be, and interior materials feel cheap for a luxury-branded SUV.

Even so, the 2026 Lexus TX remains a strong fit if you value space, flexibility, and a premium badge in a three-row SUV. Good and great deals account for 39.3% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Lexus TX reliable?

The 2026 Lexus TX is presented as a relatively young model that has already established a clear role in the lineup by offering a roomy interior and multiple powertrains. That matters for reliability-minded shoppers because the TX is still early in its lifecycle, and the available expert commentary emphasizes its straightforward mission rather than any major mechanical complexity.

From the expert test drive data, the plug-in hybrid version is described as delivering a quiet and smooth ride, with no jerks or hiccups when it switches between gas and electric power. The suspension also soaks up bumps and potholes well, and the brakes are described as firm and linear. Those are good signs for day-to-day dependability and comfort over time.

On the ownership side, Lexus includes complimentary maintenance for the first year or 10,000 miles, which helps soften early running costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the TX’s technology and cabin execution may be more frustrating than its mechanical side, so you should prioritize a careful test drive and a thorough inspection of electronics and interior condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Lexus TX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the specific vehicle you’re considering has a clean title and consistent service records. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important if you want to check the infotainment system, steering-wheel controls, and other electronics that can affect daily usability. Focus on cabin condition as well, since the interior materials are described as less upscale than you might expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The TX 350 comes in Base, Premium, Luxury, and F Sport Handling specs, while the 500h hybrid can be had in F Sport Performance Premium and F Sport Performance Luxury trims. The 550h+ plug-in hybrid is only available in the top Luxury trim. The base-level equipment gap matters because the 550h+ adds a panoramic glass roof, 22-inch wheels, and a darker Peppercorn interior color, while the cabin still shows some basic plastics despite the upscale branding.
• Powertrain: The base model uses a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 317 horsepower, while the plug-in hybrid combines a 3.5-liter V6 and hybrid system for 404 horsepower. The plug-in hybrid also gives you multiple drive modes and the ability to run on electric power, as a standard hybrid, or on gasoline alone.
• Safety package: Every Lexus TX gets Safety System+ 3.0, which includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, Lane Tracing Assist lane centering, lane departure warning with steering assist, traffic sign recognition, and Proactive Driving Assist. The suite is standard across the lineup, so you should confirm that all of those features are functioning properly.
• Infotainment: The TX uses a 14-inch color touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 12.3-inch gauge cluster. Wireless smartphone integration is standard, but the system can be unintuitive, and some functions rely on unlabeled steering-wheel controls.
• Fuel efficiency: The plug-in hybrid has an all-electric range of 33 miles and gets an EPA-estimated 29 mpg combined once the battery is drained.

Which 2026 Lexus TX trim should I buy?

The 2026 Lexus TX is offered in 7 trim levels: TX 350 Base, TX 350 Premium, TX 350 Luxury, TX 350 F Sport Handling, TX 500h F Sport Performance Premium, TX 500h F Sport Performance Luxury, and TX 550h+ Luxury.

Here's the short version:

• TX 350 Base: This is the entry point if you want the TX’s core space and three-row packaging at the lowest price. It gives you the basic TX formula, but you should expect fewer upscale touches than the higher trims.
• TX 350 Premium: This is the trim to consider if you want a better balance of equipment and value without jumping all the way to the luxury-focused versions. It should suit most shoppers who want the TX’s family-friendly layout without paying for the top-end extras.
• TX 350 Luxury: This is the most relevant gas-only upscale choice if you want a more premium-feeling TX without moving into the plug-in hybrid. It’s the trim to compare carefully against the 550h+ if you care about comfort and features.
• TX 350 F Sport Handling: Choose this only if you specifically want the sportier appearance and tuning direction implied by the name. The TX’s core strengths are space and comfort, so this trim makes the most sense for buyers who want a more expressive look.
• TX 500h F Sport Performance Premium: This hybrid trim is for shoppers who want more powertrain variety and a sportier setup than the standard gas models. It sits in the middle of the lineup and should appeal if you want a stronger feature mix without going to the top hybrid trim.
• TX 500h F Sport Performance Luxury: This is the more upscale hybrid choice if you want the performance-oriented hybrid setup with a richer equipment level. It’s the better pick if you want the hybrid powertrain and a more premium feel.
• TX 550h+ Luxury: This is the best-value trim if you want the plug-in hybrid powertrain, the highest output, and the most electric-driving flexibility. It also gets the panoramic glass roof and 22-inch wheels, but it is the most expensive version.

Every TX comes standard with Safety System+ 3.0, so you’re getting the same core driver-assistance package across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Lexus TX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and focused on condition.

• Deal availability: 39.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 618 listings available.
• Clean inventory: 96.1% of listings are accident-free.

Is the 2026 Lexus TX safe?

The 2026 Lexus TX earns Acceptable in the IIHS small overlap front crash test on the driver’s side and Good on the passenger’s side. It also earns five-star ratings from NHTSA on the TX 350 and TX 500h, though the 2026 TX 550h+ has not yet received NHTSA ratings.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Lexus TX gets Safety System+ 3.0 as standard. That includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, Lane Tracing Assist lane centering, lane departure warning with steering assist, traffic sign recognition, and Proactive Driving Assist. Adaptive cruise control is also part of the setup, and hands-free driving is available via subscription.

One caveat is that Proactive Driving Assist can feel intrusive, and the steering-wheel controls used to manage some driver-assistance functions are described as terribly confusing.

Should I buy a 2026 Lexus TX or consider a different year?

It gives you the roomy cabin and flexible powertrain lineup that define the model, and the used market currently offers a decent share of good deals. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully and prioritize the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than chasing the newest or most expensive trim.
