New & Used 2026 Lexus TX Hybrid for Sale nearLongmont, CO

Is the 2026 Lexus TX Hybrid a good car?

Generally — the 2026 Lexus TX Hybrid earns a 4/5 user rating and a 5.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Form and function.

It is aimed squarely at suburban family life, and that mission shows up in its size and layout. You get a three-row luxury SUV with nearly as much room inside as a Lincoln Navigator, plus a practical foundation from the Toyota Grand Highlander. The upside is a genuinely spacious cabin and strong hybrid appeal; the trade-offs are that the controls are infuriating and the technology is unintuitive.

The market signal is mixed but workable, with 35.2% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2026 Lexus TX Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The TX Hybrid’s reliability case leans on its practical, family-focused layout and its hybrid setup, which is designed to deliver efficiency without giving up the space buyers want from a three-row SUV. The expert evaluation also points to a composed, predictable driving character, which usually helps ownership feel less stressful over time.

The plug-in hybrid system is described as capable in everyday use, and the vehicle’s hybrid operation is presented as efficient for suburban driving. The first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house, which is a helpful ownership perk.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the TX’s frustrating controls and awkward tech can make living with it more annoying than the mechanical package suggests.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Lexus TX Hybrid?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with added equipment. Focus your inspection on cabin condition, control usability, and whether the tech and driver-assistance features work the way they should, since those are the areas most likely to affect day-to-day satisfaction.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base non-hybrid TX 350 is available in Standard, Premium, Luxury, and F Sport Handling trim levels. The TX 500h is only available in F Sport Performance spec, and the TX 550h+ comes in Luxury trim only. The base trim lineup gives you the broadest choice, while the TX 550h+ Luxury is the most fully equipped version described here.
• Powertrain: The TX 550h+ plug-in hybrid pairs a 3.5-liter V6 with a hybrid system, a Direct4 two-motor all-wheel-drive setup, and an 18.1-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack. Lexus says it can reach 60 mph in less than six seconds, and it is rated at 33 miles of electric driving range and 29 mpg in combined city and highway driving as a hybrid.
• Safety package: The standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, traffic-sign assist, high-beam assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. The TX also has standard blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, safe-exit assist, and parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking. The optional Convenience Package adds front cross-traffic alert and Traffic Jam Assist.
• Infotainment: A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster is standard, along with a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment screen. The Lexus Interface system includes wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and complimentary connected services such as Drive Connect. A 21-speaker Mark Levinson audio system is standard in the TX 550h+ Luxury.
• Fuel efficiency: The TX 550h+ is EPA-rated at 33 miles of electric driving range and 29 mpg in combined city and highway driving as a hybrid. In testing, it averaged 28.3 mpg on a mixed fuel-economy loop and returned 23.9 mpg on a more demanding evaluation route.

Which 2026 Lexus TX Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2026 Lexus TX Hybrid is offered in 6 trim levels: Standard, Premium, Luxury, F Sport Handling, F Sport Performance, and Luxury.

Here's the short version:

• Standard: This is the entry point if you want the TX’s three-row space and hybrid foundation without moving up the price ladder. It makes the most sense if you’re focused on the core family-hauling mission and don’t need the richer equipment described on the upper trims.
• Premium: This is the trim to target if you want a better balance of equipment and value than the base model, while still staying below the more expensive luxury-focused versions.
• Luxury: This is the best-value trim if you want the most upscale TX experience described here. It is the trim used for the TX 550h+ in this review, and it brings the richer cabin presentation, the panoramic sunroof, and the standard 21-speaker Mark Levinson audio system.
• F Sport Handling: Choose this if you want the TX 350 with a more aggressive appearance and a sportier flavor than the comfort-oriented trims.
• F Sport Performance: This is the TX 500h’s only specification, so it is the pick for buyers who want that model’s performance-oriented setup.
• Luxury: This is the only trim for the TX 550h+, so if you want the plug-in hybrid version, this is the one you get.

The standard safety package is strong across the lineup, with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 and additional driver-assistance features included.

Is the 2026 Lexus TX Hybrid safe?

The 2026 Lexus TX Hybrid earns an Acceptable rating from IIHS.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, traffic-sign assist, high-beam assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. The TX also has standard blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, safe-exit assist, and parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking.

There are a few caveats to keep in mind. The driver-assist tech performed capably, but not consistently, and Traffic Jam Assist’s under-25-mph operating limit is narrow for practical use. The IIHS result also leaves room for improvement.

Should I buy a 2026 Lexus TX Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2026 model year brings only minor changes, including expanded availability of Matador Red paint and a standard panoramic sunroof in the TX plug-in hybrid.

The bottom line: If you want the latest version of the TX Hybrid’s roomy three-row layout and you value the minor 2026 updates, this is the year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can shop older examples and focus on condition, because the core appeal here is the same practical, luxury-oriented space-and-efficiency formula.
