New & Used 2026 Lexus TX for Sale nearAlbuquerque, NM

Is the 2026 Lexus TX a good car?

The 2026 Lexus TX earns a 7/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

It stands out as Lexus’s full-size three-row SUV, and its biggest appeal is the combination of a spacious interior, a genuinely usable third row, and a stylish package. That makes it a strong fit if you want a large family SUV with room to carry people and cargo without moving to a truck-based model.

The trade-offs are clear: the technology can be unintuitive, and the interior materials are described as feeling cheap. Even so, the TX’s multiple powertrain choices and family-friendly packaging give it a distinct role in the lineup.

With 39.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, there’s a meaningful amount of market opportunity if you’re shopping carefully.

Is the 2026 Lexus TX reliable?

The 2026 Lexus TX is presented as a relatively young model, introduced for the 2024 model year, which can be a plus if you want a newer design with less time on the market. It also has a straightforward role in the lineup: a spacious three-row SUV aimed at family use, with multiple powertrains and a comfort-first mission.

From a driving and ownership standpoint, the TX is described as quiet and smooth, with no jerks or hiccups when it switches between gas and electric power. The suspension also does a good job soaking up bumps and potholes, which supports the impression of a well-sorted family hauler.

Lexus also includes complimentary maintenance for the first year or 10,000 miles, which helps soften early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the TX’s complexity and premium positioning can make repairs and upkeep more consequential if you buy a poorly maintained example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Lexus TX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage or heavily optioned example. Focus on cabin condition and technology operation, since the TX’s tech is a known weak point and the interior materials are described as less impressive than you’d expect in a luxury SUV.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The TX 350 comes in Base, Premium, Luxury, and F Sport Handling specs, while the 500h hybrid can be had in F Sport Performance Premium and F Sport Performance Luxury trims. The 550h+ plug-in hybrid is only available in the top Luxury trim. The base-level setup is the most stripped-down path in the lineup, so check carefully for the features you want before you buy.
• Powertrain: The TX lineup includes a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder gas model, a hybrid, and a plug-in hybrid. The plug-in hybrid adds the most power and the best fuel economy, while the standard hybrid is described as the better choice if you want handling thanks to adaptive suspension and rear steering.
• Safety package: Every TX gets Safety System+ 3.0, which includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, Lane Tracing Assist lane centering, lane departure warning with steering assist, traffic sign recognition, and Proactive Driving Assist. Hands-free driving is available via subscription.
• Infotainment: The TX uses a 14-inch color touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. The system also supports wireless charging, seven USB ports, and available features such as a digital rearview mirror, head-up display, 360-degree camera system, and remote parking.
• Fuel efficiency: The plug-in hybrid has an all-electric range of 33 miles and gets an EPA-estimated 29 mpg combined once the battery is drained.

Which 2026 Lexus TX trim should I buy?

The 2026 Lexus TX is offered in 7 trim levels: Base, Premium, Luxury, F Sport Handling, F Sport Performance Premium, F Sport Performance Luxury, and Luxury.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the entry point if you want the TX’s core space and family-friendly layout at the lowest price, but you should expect the fewest features and check carefully for the equipment you want.
• Premium: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds meaningful comfort and convenience without pushing you all the way to the top of the range.
• Luxury: This is the trim to target if you want the most upscale version of the standard TX setup, and it is the only trim offered for the 550h+ plug-in hybrid.
• F Sport Handling: Choose this if you want a more style-forward TX with a sportier presentation.
• F Sport Performance Premium: This is the better pick if you want the hybrid performance-oriented setup without going all the way to the top.
• F Sport Performance Luxury: Pick this if you want the most upscale version of the performance-oriented hybrid.
• Luxury: For the plug-in hybrid, this is the only available trim, so it is the default choice if you want the 550h+ powertrain.

Every TX comes with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 as standard, so you’re getting the same core driver-assistance suite across the lineup.

Is the 2026 Lexus TX safe?

The 2026 Lexus TX earns five-star ratings from NHTSA for the TX 350 and TX 500h, while the 2026 Lexus TX 550h+ has not yet received NHTSA ratings. It also earned an IIHS “Acceptable” result in the driver-side small overlap front crash test and “Good” results for the passenger side, with driver and passenger injury measures also rated “Good.”

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Lexus TX gets Safety System+ 3.0 as standard. That includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, Lane Tracing Assist lane centering, lane departure warning with steering assist, traffic sign recognition, and Proactive Driving Assist. Adaptive cruise control is also standard, and hands-free driving is available via subscription.

The main caveat is the IIHS driver-side small overlap result, which is not as strong as the rest of the safety picture.

Should I buy a 2026 Lexus TX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 39.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• The 2026 TX adds a standard panoramic glass roof on the 550h+ and continues to emphasize spacious third-row family use.

The bottom line: If you want a newer TX with strong space, comfort, and family utility, the 2026 is a sensible target. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth considering if it gives you similar equipment for less money.
