New & Used 2026 Kia EV9 for Sale nearLondon, KY

Is the 2026 Kia EV9 a good car?

Yes — you rate it 5/5, and CarGurus experts rate it 8.17/10. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Technology.

The 2026 Kia EV9 stands out as a three-row electric SUV that combines usable driving range, fast recharging, and broad charging compatibility with Tesla Superchargers. It is offered with single- or dual-motor configurations and can deliver up to 305 miles of range. For 2026, Kia also adds a longer range, a Nightfall Edition package, fresh colors, and a new Terrain driving mode.

That makes it especially appealing if you want a roomy, comfortable, safe, and well-equipped midsize EV with a powerful, technologically advanced feel. The trade-offs are a high sticker price and some Highway Driving Assist behaviors that can be intrusive, plus the steering wheel blocking the climate system display.

Good and great deals account for 33.8% of listings, so there is at least some market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2026 Kia EV9 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The EV9’s appeal comes from its roomy, comfortable, safe, and well-equipped cabin, along with the impression of a powerful and technologically advanced midsize SUV. Its electric powertrain is described as responsive in city driving, with strong off-the-line acceleration and a quiet freeway demeanor. The battery and charging setup also support practical ownership, with fast DC charging and easy access to Tesla Superchargers.

Kia also notes that the EV9 becomes more appealing the longer owners live with it, and the cost-effectiveness commentary points to substantial incentives at the time of writing. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the battery and charging history are healthy, since EV value depends heavily on battery condition and how the vehicle was charged over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Kia EV9?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a three-row EV with advanced driver-assistance tech and a high-voltage battery. Focus on overall condition, charging-port condition, tire wear, and whether the software and convenience features work as expected. If possible, confirm how the vehicle was typically charged and whether it has any signs of heavy DC fast-charging use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Light, Wind, Land, and GT-Line are the trims explicitly named here. The Light is the only trim with the single-motor rear-wheel-drive setup, while the other trims use the dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration. The GT-Line adds upscale touches such as a simulated suede headliner, ambient interior lighting, and a 12-inch head-up display, while the base setup still brings the EV9’s core roomy, modern cabin and strong safety tech.
• Powertrain: The EV9 is offered with single-motor rear-wheel drive or dual-motor all-wheel drive. The single-motor setup is tied to the Light trim, while the dual-motor version delivers up to 379 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque in GT-Line form. Efficiency is strong for the class, and the EV9’s acceleration is described as impressive.
• Safety package: The EV9 includes forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking with intersection braking assistance, front cross-traffic braking assistance, and oncoming collision mitigation. Evasive steering assist is standard, and blind-spot monitors include steering assistance to help prevent unsafe lane changes. Higher trims add a surround-view camera system, blind-spot cameras, low-speed braking for parking, and available Remote Smart Parking Assist.
• Infotainment: The EV9 uses triple screens in a gently curving single display, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Wireless smartphone charging is standard, Kia Connect services are included, and the system supports natural-language voice recognition. A 5-inch climate control screen is partly blocked by the steering wheel.
• Range & charging: The EV9 offers a standard-range 76.1-kWh battery or a long-range 99.8-kWh pack, depending on trim. Range reaches up to 305 miles, and DC fast charging can go from 10% to 80% in 24 minutes under optimum conditions. The 800-volt architecture supports charging at up to 350 kilowatts, and the NACS port gives access to Tesla Superchargers.
• Battery health: For a used EV, you should ask about battery state-of-health, typical charging habits, and whether the vehicle spent most of its life on home charging or frequent DC fast charging. A battery that has mostly seen home charging is generally easier to live with than one that has relied heavily on public fast charging. Also check how much of the battery warranty remains so you know how much coverage you still have if capacity or charging issues appear later.

Which 2026 Kia EV9 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Kia EV9 is offered in 4 trim levels: Light, Wind, Land, and GT-Line.

Here's the short version:

• Light: This is the trim to consider if you want the EV9’s entry point and the single-motor rear-wheel-drive setup. It is also the only trim tied to the standard-range battery choice, with the option to step up to the long-range pack if you want more driving range.
• Wind: This is the first step into the dual-motor all-wheel-drive lineup, so it makes sense if you want the broader EV9 experience without jumping all the way to the top trim. It should suit you if you want the core EV9 formula with more traction and range than the Light’s standard setup.
• Land: This trim sits in the middle of the lineup and is a good fit if you want a more upscale EV9 without going all the way to GT-Line. It benefits from the dual-motor setup and the broader equipment spread that comes with moving up the range.
• GT-Line: This is the best-value choice if you want the most complete EV9 experience and are willing to pay for it. It adds the most distinctive luxury and tech touches, including the 12-inch head-up display, simulated suede headliner, ambient lighting, and the strongest performance figures in the lineup.

Kia’s safety tech is a major strength across the lineup, but higher trims add useful extras such as surround-view cameras, blind-spot cameras, low-speed parking braking, and available Remote Smart Parking Assist.

Is the 2026 Kia EV9 safe?

The 2026 Kia EV9 earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA and the highest Top Safety Pick+ award from IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The EV9’s safety suite is extensive. Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking with intersection braking assistance, front cross-traffic braking assistance, and oncoming collision mitigation. Evasive steering assist is standard, and the blind-spot monitors include steering assistance that can actively try to prevent an unsafe lane change. Highway Driving Assist is also standard, pairing adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist and lane-change assist.

Higher trims add a surround-view camera system, blind-spot cameras, low-speed braking to avoid parking collisions, and available Remote Smart Parking Assist. One caveat is that Highway Driving Assist can behave inconsistently, with some intrusive speed-management behavior in certain freeway situations.

Should I buy a 2026 Kia EV9 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Expert or safety highlight specific to this year: Kia adds a longer range, a Nightfall Edition package, fresh colors, and a new Terrain driving mode.

The bottom line: If you want the most current EV9 with the strongest mix of range, charging speed, safety, and tech, the 2026 model is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, you should still shop carefully and compare listings, because the EV9’s high sticker price means the right deal can matter as much as the model year itself.
