New & Used 2026 INFINITI QX80 for Sale nearSanta Fe, NM

Is the 2026 INFINITI QX80 a good car?

The 2026 INFINITI QX80 earns a 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

It’s a traditional body-on-frame luxury SUV that’s built for you if you need to carry up to seven people and tow up to 8,500 pounds. The cabin is described as comfortable and luxurious, and the QX80’s mix of power, towing capacity, interior space, and refinement gives it a clear role among luxury SUV rivals.

The trade-offs are just as clear: it’s heavy and inefficient, and its fuel economy can be as low as 17 mpg combined. Its massive size also makes handling cumbersome, so it makes more sense if you’ll actually use its size and towing strength. Good and great deals account for 40.8% of listings, which helps support the value case.

Is the 2026 INFINITI QX80 reliable?

The 2026 INFINITI QX80 is presented as a modernized full-size luxury SUV with a new powertrain, updated tech, and a body-on-frame platform that Infiniti says is stiffer than before. Its twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 delivers immediate power, and the nine-speed automatic generally keeps that power on tap without fuss.

The QX80 also benefits from a broad standard equipment set, including driver-assistance tech and a surround-view camera system, which adds to day-to-day confidence. Infiniti’s warranty coverage is 48 months/60,000 miles, and the model’s available air suspension and adaptive dampers are part of the more desirable equipment mix.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that this is still a large, heavy, thirsty SUV, so upkeep and operating costs can stay high if you use it like a daily commuter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 INFINITI QX80?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re looking at higher-mileage examples or trucks that may have spent time towing. Focus on overall condition, because this is a large luxury SUV whose appeal depends heavily on how well it has been maintained and equipped.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Pure is the entry point, while the Luxe adds the air suspension and adaptive dampers along with leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and power-folding second- and third-row seats. The Sport is mainly an exterior and interior appearance package, while the Autograph brings the most equipment, including biometric cooling, massaging seats, heated third-row seats, an in-vehicle camera, a front console coolbox, and hands-free ProPilot Assist.
• Powertrain: The QX80 uses a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with 450 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and four-wheel drive is optional on the base trims and standard on the upper trims.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assistance features include automatic emergency braking, high-beam assist, adaptive cruise control, ProPilot Assist 1.1, forward-collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, active blind-spot monitors that cover a trailer, rear automatic braking, front and rear parking sensors, lane-departure warning, a driver-attention monitor, traffic-sign recognition, and a surround-view camera system with moving object detection. ProPilot Assist 2.1 is the only option.
• Infotainment: You get a pair of 14.3-inch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google built-in, Amazon Alexa compatibility, and a 5G connection for Wi-Fi hotspot and remote services. A front passenger screen is not offered.
• Fuel efficiency: With 4WD, it’s rated at 15 mpg city, 19 highway, and 17 combined; with RWD, it’s 16/20/18 mpg.
