New & Used 2026 Honda HR-V for Sale nearLondon, KY

How much does the 2026 Honda HR-V cost?

Prices have softened 2.01% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,760 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2026 Honda HR-V a good car?

The 2026 Honda HR-V earns an expert rating of 5.33/10. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

It is available in three trim levels and is aimed at buyers who value simplicity, ease of use, and a comfortable driving position over flash. The refresh adds a larger touchscreen with faster response times, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless smartphone charging, which helps the HR-V feel more current.

The trade-offs are clear: it is described as sluggish, inefficient, and unremarkable, and the back seat is a weak point. Those drawbacks matter most if you want brisk acceleration or a more polished small SUV experience.

With 31.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2026 Honda HR-V reliable?

The 2026 Honda HR-V is presented as a straightforward, easy-to-live-with small SUV, and its simple setup is part of the appeal. The available all-wheel drive and the model’s uncomplicated character support that impression, while the expert review also points to a comfortable driver’s seat and easy-to-use technology.

From a dependability standpoint, the 2.0-liter four-cylinder and CVT are described as working hard, especially when you ask for more speed, but the powertrain is still framed as conventional rather than complex. The expert review also notes that Honda includes one dealership visit for scheduled service, which is a small ownership perk.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about novelty and more about living with a powertrain that already feels strained, especially if you plan to keep the vehicle for many years and drive it in demanding conditions.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Honda HR-V?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific listing matches the trim and equipment you want. A pre-purchase inspection is especially useful if you care about the condition of the infotainment system, driver-assist features, and interior wear, since those are the areas most likely to affect day-to-day satisfaction.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX, Sport, and EX-L differ most in appearance and cabin equipment. The LX has cloth seats and the fewest speakers, while the EX-L adds leather upholstery, more cabin detailing, and the most upscale presentation.
• Powertrain: The HR-V uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a CVT. It is tuned for everyday driving, but the expert review says it feels underpowered when merging, passing, or climbing grades.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is reserved for the Sport and EX-L, and front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking are exclusive to the EX-L.
• Infotainment: The standard touchscreen is 9 inches, and wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and a wireless smartphone charger are included. The base LX has four speakers, the Sport has six, and the EX-L has eight.
• Fuel efficiency: The HR-V is rated at 28 mpg combined with front-wheel drive and 27 mpg combined with all-wheel drive. The expert test loop returned 24.8 mpg.

Which 2026 Honda HR-V trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda HR-V is offered in 3 trim levels: LX, Sport, and EX-L.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core HR-V formula at the lowest price. It makes the most sense if you want the simplest version and are comfortable giving up some comfort and convenience features.
• Sport: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and a more distinctive look without jumping all the way to the top trim.
• EX-L: This is the one to choose if you want the most upscale cabin, leather upholstery, the best audio system, and front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, but blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not included on the LX.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Honda HR-V?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,760 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.01% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,373, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Honda HR-V's resale value?

The current average of $28,775 sits slightly below last year's $29,365.

That decline suggests the HR-V has softened a bit in the used market, which can help you as a buyer today. If you plan to sell later, the same trend means you should expect a more competitive resale environment than a year ago.

The good news is that the drop is modest rather than dramatic, so the HR-V is not showing a steep value collapse. For a future seller, that usually points to steady but not especially strong retention.

Is the 2026 Honda HR-V safe?

The HR-V earns favorable ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and the 2025 HR-V also scored a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is limited to the Sport and EX-L, while front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking are exclusive to the EX-L.

The expert review also notes that the adaptive cruise control can react slowly or incorrectly in some traffic situations, which means you should stay engaged even when the driver-assist systems are active.

Should I buy a 2026 Honda HR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.01% compared with last year.
• The refresh matters to you, especially the larger touchscreen, faster response times, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless smartphone charging.

The bottom line: If you want the updated infotainment and the current-year market, the 2026 is the cleanest choice. If your priority is simply getting the lowest possible price, a nearby model year may be worth a look, but the 2026 gives you the freshest tech and a market that is still reasonably shopper-friendly.
