New & Used 2026 Honda HR-V for Sale nearFlorence, SC

How much does the 2026 Honda HR-V cost?

Prices have softened 1.64% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,659 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2026 Honda HR-V a good car?

The 2026 Honda HR-V earns an expert rating of 5.33/10. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

The HR-V’s appeal is its simple, uncomplicated character, plus a comfortable driver’s seat and easy-to-use technology. It also gets a refresh for 2026 with a larger touchscreen, faster response times, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless smartphone charging.

The trade-offs are clear: sluggish performance and poor fuel economy are the biggest drawbacks, and the back seat is uncomfortable. It’s best suited to you if you value ease of use and straightforward packaging more than speed or excitement.

Only 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market has some value opportunities but still rewards careful shopping.

Is the 2026 Honda HR-V reliable?

The 2026 Honda HR-V’s straightforward design and easy-to-live-with character support its reputation as a sensible used buy. Its standard powertrain is simple, and the model’s overall setup favors familiarity over complexity.

The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and CVT are described as working hard, especially when you ask for highway passing or uphill acceleration. That kind of strain can matter over time if you plan to keep the vehicle for the long haul.

Honda also gives you a multi-link rear suspension and a brake-based torque vectoring system called Agile Handling Assist, which helps the HR-V feel composed in turns. On the ownership side, Honda includes only one dealership visit for scheduled service, so long-term running costs may not be as cushioned as you’d like.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the HR-V’s weak powertrain and modest efficiency may leave you less satisfied as mileage adds up.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Honda HR-V?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific listing matches the trim and equipment you want. A pre-purchase inspection is especially useful here because the HR-V’s value depends heavily on condition, equipment, and whether the features you want are actually present.

Pay close attention to the back seat, infotainment setup, and whether the vehicle has the safety and convenience features you expect. If you’re comparing multiple listings, focus on how the trim changes the cabin, audio system, and driver-assistance equipment.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX, Sport, and EX-L differ in cabin materials and equipment. The LX and Sport have cloth seats, while the EX-L gets genuine leather with perforated surfaces and Z-pattern stitching. The EX-L also adds more upscale interior detailing, while the LX is the simplest version.
• Powertrain: Every HR-V uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a CVT. It makes 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque, and the setup is described as underpowered in everyday driving.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is limited to the Sport and EX-L, and front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking are exclusive to the EX-L.
• Infotainment: The standard touchscreen is 9 inches, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included. Every HR-V also gets a wireless smartphone charger. The base LX has four speakers, the Sport has six, and the EX-L has eight.
• Fuel efficiency: The HR-V is rated at 28 mpg combined with front-wheel drive or 27 mpg combined with all-wheel drive. In testing, it averaged 24.8 mpg.

Which 2026 Honda HR-V trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda HR-V is offered in 3 trim levels: LX, Sport, and EX-L.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core HR-V formula with the standard 9-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone charging, and Honda Sensing. It’s the trim to consider if you want the lowest-cost way into the model, but it also has the fewest speakers and the least upscale cabin presentation.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and a more distinctive look, while also upgrading the audio system to six speakers. If you want a better balance of equipment and price, this is the one to start with.
• EX-L: This is the most upscale version, with leather upholstery, eight speakers, front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking, and the most polished interior treatment. It makes sense if you want the most comfort and convenience features the HR-V offers.

Honda Sensing is standard on every trim, but blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not included on the LX.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Honda HR-V?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,659 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.64% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,370, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Honda HR-V's resale value?

The current average of $28,820 sits slightly below last year's $29,300.

That price movement suggests the HR-V has softened a bit in the used market, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim rather than on broad market momentum.

Because the average price is still close to the year-round high, well-kept examples should hold up better than rougher ones. If you plan to sell later, the trims with more desirable equipment and cleaner histories are likely to be easier to move.

Is the 2026 Honda HR-V safe?

The 2026 Honda HR-V earns favorable ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and the 2025 HR-V also scored a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is reserved for the Sport and EX-L, while front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking are exclusive to the EX-L.

One caveat is that the adaptive cruise control did not always behave smoothly in testing and sometimes reacted late or incorrectly in traffic. That means you should treat the driver aids as helpful support, not a substitute for attention.

Should I buy a 2026 Honda HR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.64% compared with last year.
• The 2026 refresh brings a larger touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless smartphone charging.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version with the best tech and a slightly softer used-market price, the 2026 is the one to target. If you’re more price-sensitive and can live without the refresh updates, a nearby model year may be the better value play.
