New & Used 2026 Honda HR-V for Sale nearFlagstaff, AZ

How much does the 2026 Honda HR-V cost?

Prices have softened 2.28% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,899 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2026 Honda HR-V a good car?

The 2026 Honda HR-V earns an expert rating of 5.33/10.

The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

It is available in three trim levels and is aimed at buyers who value simplicity, ease of use, and a comfortable driving position over flash. The refresh adds a larger touchscreen with faster response times, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless smartphone charging, which helps the cabin feel more current.

The trade-offs are clear: the HR-V is described as sluggish, inefficient, and unremarkable, and the back seat is a weak point. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you want an easygoing small SUV with straightforward controls rather than one that feels quick or especially exciting.

Only 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market has some value opportunities but not a flood of them.

Is the 2026 Honda HR-V reliable?

The 2026 Honda HR-V is presented as a straightforward, easy-to-live-with SUV, and its simple setup is part of that appeal. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and CVT are described as working hard, but the overall package is framed as uncomplicated and familiar.

Honda’s safety and driver-assist suite is standard, and the tech is described as unintrusive overall. The performance notes also point to a multi-link rear suspension and standard brake-based torque vectoring, which help the HR-V feel composed in turns.

Honda also includes one dealership visit for scheduled service, which is a small ownership perk. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the same weaknesses called out in testing — especially weak acceleration and poor real-world efficiency — are likely to remain part of daily ownership.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Honda HR-V?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or one that has seen city traffic and parking lots. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the tech and driver-assist features operate as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX, Sport, and EX-L each bring different equipment levels, and the base trim is the most stripped-down. The EX-L stands out for its more upscale cabin materials and added lighting details, while the Sport and EX-L add more convenience and safety equipment than the LX.
• Powertrain: The HR-V uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a CVT. It is tuned for everyday use rather than quick acceleration, and the testing notes make clear that it can feel underpowered when merging, passing, or climbing grades.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is limited to the Sport and EX-L, while front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking are exclusive to the EX-L.
• Infotainment: The standard touchscreen is 9 inches, and the system adds wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and a wireless smartphone charger. Built-in navigation and SiriusXM satellite radio are not included, and the base LX has only four speakers.
• Fuel efficiency: Official EPA ratings are 28 mpg combined with front-wheel drive and 27 mpg combined with AWD. In testing, it averaged 24.8 mpg.

Which 2026 Honda HR-V trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda HR-V is offered in 3 trim levels: LX, Sport, and EX-L.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it is the most basic version of the HR-V. You get the core simplicity of the model, but fewer speakers and fewer convenience and safety extras than the higher trims.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds useful equipment without jumping all the way to the top price. It also brings blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, which is a meaningful upgrade for everyday driving.
• EX-L: This is the trim to choose if you want the most polished cabin and the most complete feature set. It adds the most upscale interior treatment, the eight-speaker audio system, and front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking.

Honda reserves blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert for the Sport and EX-L, and the parking sensors are exclusive to the EX-L.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Honda HR-V?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,899 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.28% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,372, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Honda HR-V's resale value?

The current average of $28,678 sits slightly below last year's $29,346.

That tells you the market has softened a bit, which can help you as a buyer today. If you plan to sell later, the current pricing suggests you should expect some depreciation pressure rather than a strong hold in value.

For a future seller, the key takeaway is that the HR-V’s value is being shaped more by market softness than by scarcity. If you buy at the right price now and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can help protect your resale position, but you should not expect a major upside from appreciation.

Is the 2026 Honda HR-V safe?

The 2026 Honda HR-V earns favorable ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and the 2025 HR-V also scored a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is limited to the Sport and EX-L, and front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking are exclusive to the EX-L.

The main caveat is that the adaptive cruise control did not always react smoothly in testing, and the system sometimes misread traffic or reacted late enough to require driver intervention. That means the HR-V’s safety hardware is broad, but you should still stay engaged behind the wheel.

Should I buy a 2026 Honda HR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.28% compared with last year.
• The 2026 refresh adds a larger standard touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless smartphone charging.

The bottom line: If you want the newest HR-V with the updated infotainment setup and you can find a clean example at a fair price, the 2026 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth considering, but the 2026’s updated tech and softened pricing make it the cleaner choice for shoppers who want the latest version without paying a premium.
