New & Used 2026 Ford F-150 for Sale nearSullivan, ME

Is the 2026 Ford F-150 a good car?

Yes — you rate it 4.5/5, and the expert rating is 6.67/10. The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.

The 2026 Ford F-150’s appeal is its sheer breadth of choice: you get eight trims, three beds, three cabs, and six powertrains, so you can tailor it to work, family, or higher-end use. In testing, the truck’s strengths include handsome design, easy tech and analog controls, and strong turbocharged and supercharged engines. The trade-offs are clear, though: the naturally aspirated V8 is described as lazy, lower-priced versions lack basic amenities, and higher-priced versions are not as luxurious as Ram or GMC.

For shoppers who want a full-size truck with a huge configuration range, that versatility is the main draw. 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent amount of market flexibility.

Is the 2026 Ford F-150 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 Ford F-150 is presented as a long-running, mainstream truck with broad appeal, and the expert notes emphasize that its turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engines are more than adequate for moderate towing and pair well with the standard 10-speed automatic transmission. The truck’s overall setup is described as competitive across many configurations, which supports the idea that it should be a solid everyday ownership choice if you pick the right version.

Ford’s powertrain warranty and lack of scheduled maintenance are average for the class. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is choosing a poorly equipped or heavily optioned truck that doesn’t match your needs, since the lineup varies so much by trim and powertrain.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Ford F-150?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re looking at a truck that’s been used for towing, hauling, or off-road driving. Focus on condition, equipment content, and whether the truck’s powertrain and trim level actually fit how you plan to use it. Because the lineup is so broad, the biggest mistake is buying based on badge alone instead of checking the specific equipment and features on the truck in front of you.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lower trims are more basic, while upper trims add more upscale touches and equipment. The interior looks good overall, but the lower-priced versions lack basic amenities, and the higher-priced versions still do not match the luxury feel of Ram or GMC.
• Powertrain: The 2.7-liter turbo V6 is standard on STX and XLT, the 5.0-liter V8 is available on several trims, and the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 is the best all-rounder. The naturally aspirated V8 is the weakest-feeling option, while the turbocharged and supercharged engines are the strongest.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes high-beam assist, blind-spot monitors with rear cross-traffic alert, forward automatic emergency braking with intersection assist and pedestrian detection, evasive steering assist, lane-keep assist, a driver-attention monitor, rear parking sensors, and rear emergency braking. Adaptive cruise control is optional, and BlueCruise is optional on XLT, Lariat, Tremor, King Ranch, and Platinum.
• Infotainment: A 12-inch touchscreen with Sync 4 software and an analog instrument panel with a 4-inch display are standard. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and BlueCruise is available on select trims.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid is rated at 23 mpg city, and the tested V8 truck is rated at 17 mpg city, 22 mpg highway, and 19 mpg combined.

Which 2026 Ford F-150 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Ford F-150 is offered in 8 trim levels: XL, STX, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Tremor, Raptor.

Here's the short version:

• XL: This is the most work-focused choice, and it’s the one to consider if you want the lowest entry point and can live with the fewest amenities.
• STX: This is the best-value starting point for many buyers because it adds more everyday appeal without pushing you too far up the price ladder.
• XLT: This is the smart middle-ground trim if you want a more balanced mix of equipment and value, plus access to optional BlueCruise.
• Lariat: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and more available tech and comfort features.
• King Ranch: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with richer interior treatment and more premium equipment.
• Platinum: Pick this if you want a high-end truck with more premium presentation and features.
• Tremor: This is the off-road-oriented option in the lineup, with its own character and available BlueCruise.
• Raptor: This is the performance-focused model, built for serious power and extreme capability.

Safety-package note: BlueCruise is optional on XLT, Lariat, Tremor, King Ranch, and Platinum, and unavailable on other trims.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes high-beam assist, blind-spot monitors with rear cross-traffic alert, forward automatic emergency braking with intersection assist and pedestrian detection, evasive steering assist, lane-keep assist, a driver-attention monitor, rear parking sensors, and rear emergency braking. The main caveat is the weak IIHS front moderate overlap result, which is worth keeping in mind if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2026 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers eight trims, three beds, three cabs, and six powertrains for maximum configurability.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It adds a slew of new driver-assistance systems and a new Platinum Plus package.

The bottom line: If you want the broadest current F-150 lineup with strong market availability, the 2026 is the better default choice. If you’re shopping for value and want to compare equipment changes closely, the 2025 is worth a look, especially if you find a well-priced example with the features you want.
