New & Used 2026 Dodge Durango for Sale nearNew Orleans, LA

Is the 2026 Dodge Durango a good car?

The 2026 Dodge Durango earns an expert rating of 6.5/10. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

It stands out because it is old, yet it still delivers many of the qualities today’s SUV buyers want. It has been sold essentially unchanged since 2010, but it remains a three-row SUV with plenty of power, technology, and practicality for not a lot of money. That makes it especially appealing if you like V8s and analog controls.

The trade-offs are clear: the interior materials feel dated, modern safety features are lacking, and fuel economy is poor. Even so, its exterior looks and pricing help keep the value case compelling.

Good and great deals account for 37.5% of listings, which supports a healthy shopping environment.

Is the 2026 Dodge Durango reliable?

The 2026 Dodge Durango is presented as a long-running design that has changed very little since 2010, and that age shows up in the way it is described. The Durango’s performance hardware is a major part of its appeal, and the eight-speed automatic transmission and multiple AWD modes are described as smooth and unobtrusive. Its analog controls also make the cabin easy to use.

The cost side of ownership is helped by the fact that Dodge has lowered prices on the Durango, and the model is framed as offering strong value for its performance and towing capability. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that its older structure and dated design can make ownership feel less current than newer rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Dodge Durango?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific truck you’re considering has a clean accident record. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin, electronics, and safety equipment, since the Durango’s age and feature mix make condition especially important. Focus on how well the interior, controls, and drivetrain have been maintained.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base GT is the most stripped-down version, with a no-name six-speaker stereo, while higher trims add more comfort and convenience equipment. The GT Plus brings leather, heated first- and second-row seats, ventilated front seats, adaptive cruise control, and a wireless charging pad, while the GT Premium adds a leather-wrapped instrument panel, a suede headliner, more driver-assistance features, and a 19-speaker stereo.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.6-liter V6 makes 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, and it is described as the weaker choice for a vehicle this heavy. The available 5.7-liter Hemi V8 makes 360 hp and 390 lb-ft, while the 6.4-liter V8 and supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat engine push performance much further.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitors and front/rear parking sensors are standard. Forward automatic emergency braking and lane-departure warning are standard only on the GT Premium and optional on the Hellcat Jailbreak, while automatic emergency braking is unavailable on the regular Hellcat. Many other modern driver-assistance features are unavailable.
• Infotainment: Every Durango gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5, navigation, HD Radio, SiriusXM 360L, over-the-air updates, and wireless Apple CarPlay. Android Auto is wired. The base GT gets a no-name six-speaker stereo, most trims get a nine-speaker Alpine system, and the GT Premium gets a 19-speaker Harman Kardon setup.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 AWD models return 17 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. The 5.7-liter Hemi V8 returns 14 mpg city and 21 mpg highway, and the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 drops to 12 mpg city and 17 mpg highway.

Which 2026 Dodge Durango trim should I buy?

The 2026 Dodge Durango is offered in 6 trim levels: GT, GT Plus, GT Plus AWD Hemi V8, GT Premium AWD Hemi V8, Hellcat, and Hellcat Jailbreak.

Here's the short version:

• GT: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Durango’s core personality at the lowest price. It comes with the standard V6, rear-wheel drive, the 10.1-inch touchscreen, and the basic audio system, but it is the least equipped choice.
• GT Plus: This is the best-value trim if you want the Durango’s comfort and convenience upgrades without jumping too far up the price ladder. It adds leather, heated first- and second-row seats, ventilated front seats, adaptive cruise control, and a wireless charging pad.
• GT Plus AWD Hemi V8: This is the right pick if you want the GT Plus equipment with the stronger V8 and all-wheel drive. It also adds high-beam assist, a sunroof, and Nappa leather.
• GT Premium AWD Hemi V8: This is the most well-rounded upscale choice. It adds a leather-wrapped instrument panel, a suede headliner, more driver-assistance features, and the 19-speaker stereo, making it the trim to choose if you want the richest everyday experience.
• Hellcat: This is the extreme performance choice. It is for you if outright speed, sound, and the most aggressive Durango character matter more than comfort or efficiency.
• Hellcat Jailbreak: This is the most customizable and most expensive path, with performance-focused infotainment functions and the most available equipment. It suits buyers who want the full high-performance experience.

Forward automatic emergency braking and lane-departure warning are standard only on the GT Premium and optional on the Hellcat Jailbreak.

Is the 2026 Dodge Durango safe?

The 2026 Durango received a four-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 3/10 safety score from our experts.

Blind-spot monitors and front/rear parking sensors are standard. Forward automatic emergency braking and lane-departure warning are standard only on the GT Premium and optional on the Hellcat Jailbreak, while automatic emergency braking is unavailable on the regular Hellcat.
