New & Used 2026 Chevrolet Colorado for Sale nearColebrook, CT

Is the 2026 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — 5/5 from users and 6.67/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The 2026 Chevrolet Colorado makes a strong case in the midsize pickup segment because it keeps the lineup simple: you get a crew-cab, short-bed body style, one powertrain, and rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. That straightforward setup can make it easier for you to shop than more complicated rivals, especially if you want a truck that is easy to understand and configure.

It also brings polished styling and approachable tech, but the trade-offs are real. The expert test drive notes poor fuel economy and interior materials that feel cheap, and the cabin ergonomics are also a weak point.

For buyers who want a well-rounded midsize truck with a clear, uncomplicated lineup, the Colorado still makes a convincing case. Good and great deals account for 36.3% of listings.

Is the 2026 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Colorado is presented as a straightforward truck with a limited configuration range, which can help reduce shopping complexity and make ownership feel less complicated. The expert evaluation also points to a truck that is mostly unchanged for 2026, which can be reassuring if you prefer a proven formula over a heavily revised one.

The performance notes describe the turbocharged four-cylinder as lively enough, and the truck’s simple one-engine lineup avoids the uncertainty that can come with more complex powertrain choices. The cost-effectiveness notes also mention one free service visit with purchase, which is a small ownership perk.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the same traits that hurt it in testing — poor fuel economy and a cheap-feeling cabin — can continue to affect day-to-day satisfaction.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Chevrolet Colorado?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and inspect any truck carefully, even with a strong clean-inventory rate. Pay close attention to cabin condition, because the expert review calls out cheap-feeling materials and poor ergonomics, and those issues can show up quickly in a used truck. If you’re looking at a Trail Boss or ZR2, check for signs of hard off-road use and make sure the equipment matches the trim you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup starts with WT, with LT serving as the basis for Z71, while higher trims add off-road capability and the ZR2 brings even more features and extra off-roading hardware. Base-trim trucks can feel sparse compared with the upper trims, so make sure the equipment level matches how you plan to use the truck.
• Powertrain: Every 2026 Colorado uses a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It makes 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, and RWD models return up to 21 mpg combined while towing up to 7,700 pounds.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a safe following distance indicator. The available Safety Package adds blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors.
• Infotainment: You get an 11.3-inch touchscreen with Google built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, OnStar connected services, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Wireless smartphone charging is available, and some trims add front and rear USB ports.
• Fuel efficiency: The truck returns up to 21 mpg combined in RWD form, and the test truck averaged 17.5 mpg during evaluation.

Which 2026 Chevrolet Colorado trim should I buy?

The 2026 Chevrolet Colorado is offered in 5 trim levels: WT, LT, Trail Boss, Z71, ZR2.

Here's the short version:

• WT: This is the value-focused starting point, and it makes the Colorado’s basic formula accessible without overcomplicating the lineup. It’s the trim to consider if you want the lowest entry point and plan to add only the equipment you truly need.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it serves as the basis for the Z71 and gives you a more flexible starting point than WT. If you want a balanced mix of equipment and price, this is the trim to focus on first.
• Trail Boss: This trim leans into off-road capability with an off-road-tuned suspension, a two-inch factory lift, a wider stance, all-terrain tires, Off-Road and Terrain driving modes, and hill descent control. It suits you if you want a more rugged Colorado without going all the way to the top trim.
• Z71: This is the step up if you want a more feature-rich Colorado built from the LT foundation. It’s the trim to look at if you want a more polished middle ground between everyday use and added capability.
• ZR2: This is the most serious off-road version, with even more off-road upgrades, including 33-inch mud-terrain tires and Multimatic DSSV dampers. It’s the right pick if off-road performance matters most and you want the most capable Colorado in the lineup.

The Safety Package adds blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a safe following distance indicator. The available Safety Package adds blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors.

Should I buy a 2026 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It stays mostly unchanged for 2026, with a simple lineup, updated paint and package changes, and easy-to-use technology.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It offers a right-sized truck with a powerful standard turbocharged engine and strong off-road appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the cleaner, current-year version with the same straightforward formula, the 2026 is the better default choice. If you’re shopping mainly on price and can find a well-kept 2025, that earlier model can still make sense for buyers who want the Colorado’s core strengths without paying for the newest model year.
