Is the 2025 Volvo XC60 a good car?

The 2025 Volvo XC60 stands out as a premium compact crossover that blends clean Scandinavian design with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency. For you, that means a five-passenger SUV with a polished, understated look, standard safety tech, luxurious amenities, and fuel-efficient powertrains.

Volvo also equips it with standard all-wheel drive, a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, “Thor’s Hammer” LED headlights, and a nine-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. If you want a luxury SUV that leans more toward calm sophistication than flash, the XC60 fits that brief well.

35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Volvo XC60 reliable?

The 2025 Volvo XC60’s appeal is rooted in its safety focus, standard safety tech, and reputation for protection. Volvo’s own summary also points to luxurious amenities and efficient powertrains, which supports its image as a well-rounded premium SUV.

It also adds steer assist to the City Safety system and uses that technology in Oncoming Lane Mitigation and blind spot monitoring, reinforcing its safety-first character. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a premium, feature-rich SUV can become more expensive to maintain if you buy one that has been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Volvo XC60?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s maintenance records are complete. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with a lot of luxury features that could be costly to repair.

Focus on overall condition, including the cabin, electronics, brakes, and how smoothly the powertrain behaves during a test drive.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Volvo XC60?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,318 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.42% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 95.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $38,060, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Volvo XC60's resale value?

The current average of $43,082 sits slightly below last year's $44,150.

That tells you the XC60 has softened a bit in the market, which can help you as a buyer today. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Because this is a premium SUV with strong brand appeal, a clean history and good upkeep should matter a lot when it comes time to resell. A well-kept example is more likely to hold buyer interest than one with visible wear or incomplete service records.

Should I buy a 2025 Volvo XC60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.42% compared with last year.

Consider the 2026 if:

• The infotainment system is updated with a larger touchscreen and Google Gemini integration.

The bottom line:
You should start with the 2025 if you want the stronger value play, especially since pricing has eased and there’s a healthy amount of clean inventory to shop. If you’re more focused on the newest tech and can stretch for it, the 2026 is the better secondary path.
