CarGurus Analysis: 2025 Toyota RAV4

Summary
With 9,737 currently listed for sale and an average price of $31,707, 39.3% of 2025 Toyota RAV4 listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2025 Toyota RAV4 4.5 / 5 stars.
91.2% of 2025 Toyota RAV4 listings on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2025 Toyota RAV4 stands out because it comes from a long-running formula that helped define the modern small crossover SUV. Its appeal is rooted less in flash than in usefulness: the RAV4 is widely known as a practical, responsible family hauler with strong reliability, reasonable pricing, and a reputation for staying inexpensive to own over time. It also offers a broad range of configurations, including hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains, so buyers can choose efficiency, extra performance, or both without leaving the RAV4 nameplate.
What makes the RAV4 especially appealing is how much equipment Toyota includes without pushing the price too far upward. The model comes standard with a full suite of advanced driver aids, and the available trims can add near-luxury finishes. The buying guide also notes that Toyota has expanded the lineup with more rugged styling and off-road-oriented versions, giving the SUV a tougher look and more versatility than earlier generations. At the same time, the RAV4’s core character remains practical rather than exciting: its engines are not usually the most powerful in the class, the interior is described as plain and often gray, and it has not traditionally been the most engaging SUV to drive.
For shoppers, that balance is the point. The 2025 Toyota RAV4 offers the kind of everyday competence that has made it one of the most popular vehicles in the market, with solid fuel economy in hybrid forms, broad feature content, and a strong reliability record. Its main drawbacks are the same ones that have long defined it: it is more about value and utility than personality, and some buyers may find its cabin and driving experience less lively than its reputation and popularity suggest.

Love the Rav4! My original had adjustable rear seats (can move them forward or backwards) and that was a great feature. After 19 years with my Rav4, decided to upgrade. New feature are nice, will take time to learn them all, but real nice.

Is the 2025 Toyota RAV4 a good car?
Yes — the 2025 Toyota RAV4 earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which fits its reputation as a practical, responsible family hauler with strong reliability and reasonable pricing. The overview points to broad usefulness, solid fuel economy in hybrid forms, and a wide range of configurations, including hybrid and plug-in hybrid options. Is the 2025 Toyota RAV4 reliable?
Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The overview describes the RAV4 as having a strong reliability record and being inexpensive to own over time. That makes it especially appealing if you want a compact SUV that prioritizes durability and predictable ownership costs over flash. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about mechanical drama and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by heavy family use.
What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota RAV4?
Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
You should still run a vehicle history report to confirm the listing’s background and verify that the title and service history line up. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with more equipment, since condition can vary even within a strong market. Focus on wear items, interior condition, and how well the vehicle’s features and drivability match the seller’s description.

What is the 2025 Toyota RAV4's resale value?
The current average of $31,744 sits slightly below last year's $32,455.
That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively if the market stays loose. The RAV4’s broad appeal, practical reputation, and strong reliability image should help support demand over time. Because shoppers often seek out this model for value and low ownership stress, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than less established alternatives.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
