That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value will depend heavily on how well the vehicle is maintained and how competitive the market remains. If you keep mileage reasonable and preserve condition, you should be in a better position to hold value than a neglected example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 43.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds more power, more electric range, and a broader four-trim lineup.

The bottom line: The 2025 makes sense if you want a lower entry price and a strong satisfaction profile in a market with plenty of deal-priced listings. If you want the newest version with more range and added capability, the 2026 is the better long-term pick; if price matters most, the 2025 is the smarter value play.
