How much does the 2025 Toyota Corolla cost?

Prices have softened 3.07% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 8,811 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Toyota Corolla a good car?

With a 3/5 user rating and a 7.00/10 expert rating, the 2025 Corolla lands in the practical, well-rounded zone rather than the exciting one. The standout strength is Safety at 8/10.

It fits buyers who want a straightforward, affordable car with a strong reputation for reliability, plus modern infotainment and safety technology. The expert review also notes that it is more enjoyable to drive than many people might expect, and that comfort is a clear strength.

The trade-offs are real: the Corolla is noisy, the stereo is lacking, and fuel economy is called poor. Even so, its broad configuration range — including sedan and hatchback body styles, gas and hybrid powertrains, and front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive — makes it a flexible choice for commuting and everyday use.

Good and great deals account for 39.7% of listings, which suggests you have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Toyota Corolla reliable?

The 2025 Corolla is built around a simple mechanical formula, and that simplicity is part of why it should be affordable to own over time. The expert review points to the Corolla’s reputation for reliability, and the powertrain is described as mechanically straightforward aside from the CVT and its launch gearset.

Toyota also includes complimentary scheduled maintenance for the first two years or 25,000 miles, which helps reduce early ownership costs. The basic warranty runs three years or 36,000 miles, and the powertrain warranty runs five years or 60,000 miles.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about complexity and more about condition: you still want to confirm that the car has been maintained properly and that the drivetrain and suspension have not been abused.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Corolla?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper history check. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if you are considering a higher-mileage car or one with signs of hard use. Focus on overall condition, especially the drivetrain, tires, brakes, and suspension, since the review notes that the lowered sport suspension can be less forgiving over rough pavement.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE is the sweet spot in the lineup, while the FX adds sport-tuned steering, a lowered sport suspension, snazzy wheels, and a spoiler. The base LE is more plain, and blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are extra-cost options on all but the highest XSE trim level.
• Powertrain: The gas model uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 169 horsepower and a CVT with a launch gearset. The review says it is adequate rather than class-leading, and hard acceleration can bring out a drone from the drivetrain.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard and includes forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, lane centering assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beam headlights, and road sign recognition. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on most trims.
• Infotainment: The available 10.5-inch touchscreen is paired with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Toyota also includes connected services, and Safety Connect is standard with automatic collision notification, SOS emergency assistance, and roadside assistance.
• Fuel efficiency: The review describes fuel economy as poor, and the test car averaged 32.2 mpg on one loop and 27.1 mpg on another, versus an official 34 mpg combined rating.

Which 2025 Toyota Corolla trim should I buy?

The 2025 Toyota Corolla is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, SE, XSE, FX.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the most basic path into the Corolla lineup, but the review suggests it can feel plain compared with the SE. It makes sense if you want the lowest-frills version and do not need the extra style or sport tuning.
• SE: This is the best-value trim. The expert review calls it the sweet spot because it gives you a better balance of features and avoids the plain-vanilla feel of the base LE.
• XSE: This is the top conventional trim in the gas lineup, and it is the one tied to the available JBL premium sound system and the highest-level safety-package availability. Choose it if you want the most equipment and are willing to pay for it.
• FX: This is the style-and-chassis pick. It adds the lowered sport suspension, sport-tuned steering, and distinctive appearance details, so it suits you if you want a Corolla that feels a little more athletic without moving into a full performance model.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard across the lineup, but blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are extra-cost on all but the highest XSE trim level.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Corolla?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 39.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 8,811 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.07% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 83.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,151, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Corolla's resale value?

The current average of $21,818 sits slightly below last year's $22,510.

That softer pricing suggests the Corolla is holding value reasonably well, but not aggressively appreciating. If you buy now, you are entering at a lower average price than a year ago, which can help reduce depreciation pressure later.

For a future seller, that means the Corolla should remain an easy car to move if you keep it clean and well documented. The strongest resale prospects will likely come from well-kept examples with desirable equipment and a clean history.

Is the 2025 Toyota Corolla safe?

The 2025 Corolla earns five-star ratings in all crash tests from NHTSA, along with a four-star rollover resistance rating. The IIHS named the Corolla a 2024 Top Safety Pick.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and it includes forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, lane centering assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beam headlights, and road sign recognition. Proactive Driving Assist is also included, though the review found it intrusive in city and freeway driving.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are extra-cost options on all but the highest XSE trim level, so you should check carefully if those features matter to you. The expert review also notes that adaptive cruise control and lane-centering assist can be effective, but the system may ask for steering input frequently enough to become annoying.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Corolla or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.07% compared with last year.
• The expert review highlights a more stylish, technologically advanced, and rewarding-to-drive Corolla, plus the new-for-2025 FX sedan with exclusive design details and sport-tuned steering and suspension.

The bottom line: If you want the current Corolla’s mix of comfort, technology, and broad configuration choices, the 2025 is the one to target. If your priority is simply the lowest possible price, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2025 gives you a strong blend of value and equipment.

2025 Honda Civic:

• Pros: Fun to drive, Manual transmission available, Available Google Built-In.
