How much does the 2025 Toyota Corolla cost?

Prices have softened 2.55% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 8,821 listings available, which gives you a healthy amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2025 Toyota Corolla a good car?

The 2025 Toyota Corolla is a solid choice if you want an easy-to-live-with compact sedan that emphasizes reliability, modern tech, and everyday usability; it earns a 3/5 user rating and a 7.00/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Safety at 8/10.

The Corolla’s appeal is strongest if you value a car that is practical, well equipped, and simple to own. The expert review also notes that it is more stylish, more technologically advanced, and more rewarding to drive than previous Corollas, which helps it feel less plain than its reputation suggests.

The main trade-offs are that fuel economy is poor, it can be noisy, and the stereo is lacking. Those drawbacks matter most if you spend a lot of time on the highway or care about a quiet cabin and strong audio.

With 39.2% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Toyota Corolla reliable?

The 2025 Corolla is built around a reputation for reliability, and the expert review reinforces that with a simple mechanical setup and a design aimed at low ownership stress.

The performance coverage points to a straightforward 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a CVT, and the cost-effectiveness notes say the mechanical simplicity, coupled with the Corolla’s reputation for reliability, should help keep ownership affordable over time. Toyota also includes complimentary scheduled maintenance for the first two years or 25,000 miles, which adds a little extra peace of mind early in ownership.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about complexity and more about condition: a car that has been neglected, abused, or poorly maintained can still become expensive even if the model itself is known for durability.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Corolla?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if the car has higher mileage, signs of curb rash or suspension wear, or any evidence of rough use. Focus on overall condition, since the Corolla’s value proposition depends heavily on finding one that has been maintained well and not driven hard.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The FX special edition adds exclusive design details, a lowered ride height, 18-inch wheels, blacked-out exterior accents, a decklid spoiler, and a Moonstone-color interior. It sits above the LE and SE but below the XSE, and the base LE is the most stripped-down-feeling version in the lineup.
• Powertrain: The Corolla uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque, paired with a Dynamic Shift CVT. The FX adds sport-tuned steering and a lowered sport suspension, but it still uses the same basic mechanical hardware as the SE and XSE.
• Safety package: Every Corolla gets Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which includes forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, lane centering assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beam headlights, and road sign recognition. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are extra-cost options on all but the highest XSE trim level.
• Infotainment: Toyota offers a 10.5-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and connected services. Safety Connect is standard in every Corolla, and Drive Connect, Remote Connect, and Wi-Fi Connect are available depending on trim and subscription.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert review says the Corolla FX averaged 32.2 mpg in mixed driving, fell short of the official 34 mpg combined rating, and returned 27.1 mpg on the evaluation loop.

Which 2025 Toyota Corolla trim should I buy?

The 2025 Toyota Corolla is offered in 3 trim levels: LE, SE, and XSE.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point, but it is also the most basic-feeling choice. If you want the lowest-cost way into the Corolla lineup, it gets the job done, though the review suggests the plainness is part of the trade-off.
• SE: This is the best-value trim. The cost-effectiveness notes call it the sweet spot because it gives you more flexibility, avoids the plain vanilla look of the base LE, and can be dressed up with Convenience and Premium option packages.
• XSE: This is the most upscale trim in the standard gas lineup and the one that unlocks the JBL premium sound system. It also gets one year of Remote Connect free, and it is the trim level that keeps blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert standard.

If safety equipment matters most, note that blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are extra-cost options on all but the highest XSE trim level.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Corolla?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 8,821 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.55% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,152, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Corolla's resale value?

The current average of $22,477 sits slightly below last year's $23,066.

That price movement suggests the Corolla has softened a bit in the used market, which can help you as a buyer today. If you plan to sell later, the model’s reputation for reliability should help support demand, but the current trend shows that values are not rising aggressively.

For a future seller, that means condition and mileage will matter a lot. A well-kept Corolla should remain easy to move, but you should not expect a strong appreciation story from this model year.

Is the 2025 Toyota Corolla safe?

The 2025 Corolla earns five-star ratings in all crash tests from NHTSA, and the IIHS named it a 2024 “Top Safety Pick.”

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard on every Corolla and includes forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, lane centering assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beam headlights, and road sign recognition. Proactive Driving Assist is also included, though the review found it intrusive in city and freeway driving.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on all trims, and that is the main safety-package gap to watch for if you are comparing listings.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Corolla or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.55% compared with last year.
• The 2025 review highlights the new FX sedan, which adds exclusive design details and sport-tuned steering and suspension.

The bottom line: The 2025 Corolla makes the most sense if you want the updated styling and the FX’s extra personality while still keeping the Corolla’s core strengths of reliability and easy ownership. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth considering, but the 2025 is the better pick if you want the freshest version of this generation with the broadest current-market shopping opportunity.
