CarGurus Analysis: 2025 Toyota Camry
overall

Summary
With 9,906 currently listed for sale and an average price of $28,544, 37.9% of 2025 Toyota Camry listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2025 Toyota Camry 4.89 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it an 8 / 10.
87.5% of 2025 Toyota Camry listings on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2025 Toyota Camry kicks off its ninth generation as a now-hybrid-only midsize sedan, and that alone makes it a notable shift for one of Toyota’s most familiar nameplates. It leans into the qualities that have long made the Camry a family favorite: a reputation for reliability and safety, a strong value proposition, and fuel economy that stands out in its class. Toyota also gives it a new look and new features for 2025, helping it feel current without abandoning the practical formula that has made it so popular.
What makes the 2025 Toyota Camry especially appealing is how broadly it covers the basics buyers care about. It is competitively priced, fuel-efficient, and offers all-wheel drive on every trim. At the same time, it is not without drawbacks: the engine can be noisy, and the voice assistant is described as finicky. Even so, the overall package is aimed squarely at shoppers who want a dependable, efficient sedan with modern styling and tech, and it does so without any obvious deal-breaking flaws.

Good value for a new car considering used prices are a bit crazy right now. Ride is smooth , absorbs bumps and harsh roads are not a problem for this car. I average about 60 miles to and from work everyday and so far I average 52 mpg, most of it is highway miles too. 10/10 would recommend it to anyone.

Bought a 2025 Toyota Camry hybrid yesterday and it seems like a great car. I really like the idea that I can recharge the electric battery just by breaking and letting off of the accelerator. It has a lot of room and it was comparably priced with the Corolla.

Prices have softened 4.84% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 9,883 listings available, which suggests you should have a healthy number of options to compare.
Is the 2025 Toyota Camry a good car?
Yes — the 2025 Toyota Camry earns a 4.89/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.
Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, exceptional fuel economy, and spacious interior. They also value its strong price-to-features balance, especially in a market where used-car prices have risen broadly.
The main trade-offs are the noisy engine and the finicky voice assistant. Even so, the Camry’s new look, modern tech, and family-friendly practicality make it a strong fit if you want a dependable, efficient midsize sedan with broad everyday appeal.
Good and great deals account for 38.9% of listings, so there is still meaningful room to shop selectively.
Is the 2025 Toyota Camry reliable?
Owners rate it 4.89/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable, trouble-free, and easy to count on over time. That lines up with the Camry’s reputation for reliability, and the expert assessment reinforces that it is built for long-term ownership rather than short-term novelty.
Toyota’s hybrid system is designed to operate in the background, which supports a low-stress ownership experience. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the platform itself and more about finding a well-kept example with consistent maintenance and no hidden wear.
What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Camry?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
You should still run a history report on any listing you like, even if it looks clean at first glance. After that, prioritize a close inspection of the interior, electronics, and exterior condition so you can spot signs of heavy use or poor upkeep. Because this model is new enough that many examples should still be relatively fresh, condition differences matter a lot when you compare listings.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The LE trim gets 16-inch alloy wheels and fabric seating surfaces, while SE adds black 18-inch wheels, sporty exterior touches, and SofTex synthetic leather upholstery. XSE brings 19-inch wheels and perforated leather seats, so the higher trims are the ones to target if you want the most upscale cabin and sportiest appearance.
- Powertrain: Every Camry is a hybrid, using a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with electric motors. Front-wheel-drive models make 225 horsepower, while all-wheel-drive versions make 232 horsepower and are estimated at 51 mpg combined for FWD and 50 mpg combined for AWD.
- Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and it includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane-tracing assist, lane-departure alert with steering assist, and road-sign assist. The Premium Plus Package on XLE and XSE adds front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, front and rear parking assist with automatic braking, panoramic view monitor, and traffic-jam assist.
- Infotainment: Standard equipment includes an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus wireless charging and five USB ports. Higher trims upgrade to a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital driver display, and XLE and XSE can add a 10-inch head-up display and JBL Premium Audio.
- Fuel efficiency: Toyota estimates 51 mpg combined for front-wheel-drive models and 50 mpg combined for all-wheel-drive models.
Which 2025 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?
The 2025 Toyota Camry is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, SE, XLE, XSE.
Here's the short version:
- LE: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry point and still want standard hybrid efficiency, an 8-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, and the full Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite. It is the best fit if you care most about price and core features.
- SE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a sportier look, black 18-inch wheels, and SofTex upholstery without jumping all the way to the luxury-oriented trims. If you want a little more style and a nicer cabin, this is the sweet spot.
- XLE: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel, larger available tech, and comfort-focused equipment. It is the trim to consider if you want the Camry to feel more premium in daily use.
- XSE: This is the most expressive trim, with 19-inch wheels, sportier exterior details, and perforated leather seats. It suits you best if you want the most distinctive appearance and the richest cabin presentation.
The Premium Plus Package is available on XLE and XSE, so those trims are the ones to target if advanced parking and traffic-assist features matter to you.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Camry?
This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.
- Deal availability: 38.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 9,883 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 4.84% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 87.4% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $27,632, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Toyota Camry's resale value?
The current average of $28,519 sits slightly below last year's $29,968.
That softer pricing suggests the market has become a little more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about expectations. If you buy now, you are entering at a lower average price than last year, which can help cushion depreciation if the market stays steady.
The Camry’s strong reputation for reliability, safety, and value should help support demand over time. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment and clean history reports are likely to remain easier to resell than average midsize sedans.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.89/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2025 Toyota Camry safe?
The 2025 Camry is too new as of this writing to have completed crash testing with independent safety organizations.
It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.
Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and it includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane-tracing assist, lane-departure alert with steering assist, and road-sign assist. If you want more advanced assistance, the available Premium Plus Package on XLE and XSE adds front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, front and rear parking assist with automatic braking, panoramic view monitor, and traffic-jam assist.
The main caveat is that the crash-test record for this model year is not yet complete. Even so, the standard safety suite is broad, and the lane-keeping system was described as firm but still easy to override when needed.
Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 38.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 4.84% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.89/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- It debuts a new hybrid-only powertrain, fresh styling, and updated tech.
Consider the 2026 if:
- At $32,243, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $28,519 average.
- It adds a Nightshade Edition trim and a new Dark Cosmos paint color.
The bottom line: If you want the newest Camry at a lower average price, the 2025 is the better buy. If you are willing to pay more for a slightly updated lineup and a fresh special edition, the 2026 is worth a look. For price-sensitive shoppers, the 2025 offers the stronger value case right now.
