Why it stands out
The 2025 Toyota Camry marks the start of the model’s ninth generation and arrives as a hybrid-only sedan. That alone makes it distinctive, especially for buyers who want a mainstream family car with a strong emphasis on efficiency. Toyota also gives it a new look, new features, and a new hybrid powertrain for 2025, helping the Camry reset its baseline as a high-selling midsize sedan.
Its appeal is rooted in the qualities that have long made the Camry a favorite among families: reliability, safety, and broad value. The 2025 model is described as competitively priced and fuel-efficient, and all-wheel drive is available on every trim. Those strengths make it easy to understand why it remains such a familiar choice for shoppers who want a practical sedan without giving up modern equipment.
There are a couple of drawbacks to keep in mind. The engine is noted as noisy, and the voice assistant can be finicky. Even so, the 2025 Toyota Camry’s combination of efficiency, updated tech, and no major deal-breaking flaws gives it a clear identity as a sensible, well-rounded sedan.

Good value for a new car considering used prices are a bit crazy right now. Ride is smooth , absorbs bumps and harsh roads are not a problem for this car. I average about 60 miles to and from work everyday and so far I average 52 mpg, most of it is highway miles too. 10/10 would recommend it to anyone.

Bought a 2025 Toyota Camry hybrid yesterday and it seems like a great car. I really like the idea that I can recharge the electric battery just by breaking and letting off of the accelerator. It has a lot of room and it was comparably priced with the Corolla.

There are 9,733 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and trims. If you find a listing below $27,658.53, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2025 Toyota Camry a good car?
Yes — the 2025 Toyota Camry earns a 4.89/5 user rating and an 8.00/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.
Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, exceptional fuel economy, and spacious interior. They also value its strong pricing relative to the used-car market. On the trade-off side, some owners mention missing features such as power folding mirrors and parking sensors, while experts note that the engine can be noisy at higher speeds and the voice assistant can be finicky.
For you, that means the Camry fits especially well if you want a practical midsize sedan for commuting or family duty, with efficiency and everyday comfort taking priority over flash. The market also shows 33.5% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.
Is the 2025 Toyota Camry reliable?
Owners rate it 4.89/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. User feedback points to a reliable, dependable, and trouble-free ownership experience, with many owners emphasizing how well the car holds up over time. The expert evaluation also reinforces that impression by highlighting the Camry’s reputation for reliability and its hybrid system’s smooth, unobtrusive operation. Toyota also includes the first scheduled maintenance visit on the house, which helps reduce early ownership friction.
For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about durability and more about whether the specific car was maintained well and used in a way that avoided excessive wear.
What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Camry?
Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
You should still run a history report and verify that the car’s condition matches the listing photos and description. A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing, especially if you’re comparing multiple trims or higher-mileage examples. Focus on interior wear, tire condition, brake feel, and whether the tech and driver-assistance features work as expected.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The base LE trim gets 16-inch alloy wheels and fabric seating surfaces, while SE adds SofTex synthetic leather upholstery and XSE moves up to perforated leather seats. The sportier SE and XSE also add visual and exterior upgrades, and the top XSE can be had with a two-tone paint job.
- Powertrain: Every 2025 Camry uses a hybrid setup with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. Front-wheel-drive models make 225 horsepower, while all-wheel-drive versions make 232 horsepower. Toyota estimates 51 mpg combined for FWD models and 50 mpg combined for AWD models.
- Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, including blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane-tracing assist, lane-departure alert with steering assist, and road-sign assist. The Premium Plus Package on XLE and XSE adds front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, front and rear parking assist with automatic braking, panoramic view monitor, and traffic-jam assist.
- Infotainment: Standard equipment includes an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus wireless charging and five USB ports. Higher trims get a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital driver display, and XLE and XSE can add a 10-inch head-up display.
- Fuel efficiency: Toyota estimates 51 mpg combined for front-wheel-drive models and 50 mpg combined for all-wheel-drive models.
Which 2025 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?
The 2025 Toyota Camry is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, SE, XLE, XSE.
Here's the short version:
- Base trim: The LE is the value play, but it lacks the more upscale wheel design, synthetic leather, and larger-screen tech found higher up the range.
- Sweet-spot trim: The SE is the best middle ground if you want a sportier look and SofTex upholstery without jumping to the top end.
- Premium/top trim: The XSE gives you the most upscale cabin feel, 19-inch wheels, perforated leather seats, and access to the larger touchscreen and available premium tech.
- Off-road trim: Not applicable here.
The standard safety package is strong across the lineup, and the Premium Plus Package on XLE and XSE is the trim-level upgrade to watch if you want the fullest driver-assistance setup.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Camry?
This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.
- Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 9,733 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.34% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 90.0% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $27,658.53, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Toyota Camry's resale value?
The current average of $29,766 sits slightly below last year's $31,446.
That price movement suggests the market has cooled enough to create a better entry point for buyers today, but it also means future sellers may face some pressure if depreciation continues at the same pace. The Camry’s strong reputation for efficiency, safety, and everyday usefulness should help support demand over time. If you buy well now and keep the car in strong condition, you’re more likely to preserve value when it’s time to sell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.89/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2025 Toyota Camry safe?
The 2025 Camry is too new to have completed crash testing with independent safety organizations.
It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.
Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and it includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane-tracing assist, lane-departure alert with steering assist, and road-sign assist. The available Premium Plus Package on XLE and XSE adds front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, front and rear parking assist with automatic braking, panoramic view monitor, and traffic-jam assist. The lane-keeping assist system also feels firm but still easy to override when needed.

- 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.34% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.89/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- It debuts a new hybrid-only powertrain, fresh styling, and updated tech.
Consider the 2026 if:
- It adds the Nightshade Edition and a new Dark Cosmos paint color.
The bottom line: If you want the newest Camry with the strongest value signal, the 2025 is the better buy right now. If you’re mainly chasing the latest styling tweak and can wait for a slightly newer model, the 2026 is the alternative to watch. For most price-sensitive shoppers, the 2025 offers the better balance of inventory, pricing, and feature content.
