Is the 2025 Nissan Z a good car?

The 2025 Nissan Z stands out because it blends a classic rear-wheel-drive sports car formula with modern performance and technology. It offers a powerful V6, a manual or automatic transmission, and heritage-inspired styling that keeps the Z’s identity front and center.

For you, that means the Z makes the most sense if you want a fun, mod-friendly coupe with strong performance and a clear connection to its history. The lineup also gives you a choice between a simpler enthusiast setup and a more track-focused version, depending on how you plan to use it.

39.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Nissan Z reliable?

The 2025 Nissan Z stands out because it blends a classic rear-wheel-drive sports car formula with modern performance and technology. It also keeps the Z’s heritage front and center, which should appeal if you want a familiar sports-car layout with contemporary features.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that sports-car hardware can be more sensitive to hard use, so condition matters a lot more than mileage alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Z?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s maintenance and ownership records make sense for a performance coupe. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been modified, tracked, or driven aggressively. Focus on tire wear, brake condition, and overall cosmetic and mechanical condition so you know how the car was treated.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Z?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 39.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 324 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.18% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 95.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $41,508, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Z's resale value?

The current average of $42,640 sits slightly below last year's $43,588.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favorable level today, but it also means future resale may depend heavily on how well you preserve the car. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain it carefully, you should be in a better position when it’s time to sell. A clean history and strong condition matter even more for a sports coupe like this.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Z or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.18% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $42,779, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $42,640 average.
• It emphasizes a more track-capable setup with added performance focus.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the classic two-seat, rear-drive formula while adding more power and a stronger visual identity.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the best primary path if you want the current-year balance of price, inventory, and sports-car character. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2024 is worth a look only if you find a cleaner or better-equipped example that justifies its slightly higher average price.
