Is the 2025 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Nissan Rogue earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

The Rogue is positioned as a five-passenger compact SUV that emphasizes comfort, value, and everyday usefulness. Its strengths include a comfortable ride, good fuel economy, and an upscale interior, while the 2025 updates add more personality through the Rock Creek trim and more polish through the newly available ProPilot Assist 2.1 highway driving assist system.

The main trade-offs are modest acceleration and passing power, plus the fact that some rivals are sportier and more fun to drive. If you want a well-rounded compact SUV that leans into practicality and comfort rather than performance, the Rogue fits that brief well.

38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Rogue’s reliability case is supported by its easy-going driving demeanor, smooth CVT behavior, and kind-to-your-wallet fuel economy. The expert evaluation also points to a supportive cabin and a robust, attractive interior, which are the kinds of traits that usually help a vehicle feel dependable over time.

The 2025 model’s updated equipment and broad usefulness should make it a sensible long-term ownership choice, though you should still pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition on any used example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Rogue?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage or heavily optioned example. Focus on overall condition, signs of wear in the cabin, and whether the equipment on the specific trim matches what you expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base S is the entry point, while the SV adds an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, two rear USB-C ports, a Wi-Fi hot spot, keyless entry, remote start, dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, and a power liftgate. The SV is the best-value trim because it adds a wide roster of features for not much extra cash.
• Powertrain: The Rogue uses a 201-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine paired with a CVT. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available on all trims except Rock Creek, where it comes standard.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection assist, lane departure warning, rear parking sensors, a driver attention monitor, and automatic high-beam headlights. ProPilot Assist and ProPilot Assist 2.1 are notable options, along with a surround-view parking camera system and traffic-sign recognition.
• Infotainment: Entry S and SV trims use an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Upper trims get a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Google built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite radio, and Amazon Alexa.
• Fuel efficiency: A front-wheel drive Rogue delivers an EPA-estimated 33 mpg combined, AWD drops that to 31 mpg, and Rock Creek returns 29 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Rogue is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but it’s mainly for shoppers who want the lowest starting price and are willing to give up the extra convenience and tech found higher up the range.
• SV: This is the best-value trim because it adds the most useful everyday upgrades, including a power liftgate, adaptive cruise control, dual-zone climate control, and a Wi-Fi hot spot.
• Rock Creek: This is the one to choose if you want the Rogue’s more adventurous personality, with standard AWD, all-terrain tires, a tubular roof rack, a surround-view camera system, and hill-descent control.
• SL: This trim brings the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen with Google built-in, wireless smartphone connectivity, and a more upscale tech experience.
• Platinum: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with semi-aniline leather seating surfaces, a heated steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, and a 10-speaker Bose audio system.

The safety content points to a strong standard equipment list across the lineup, with ProPilot and the surround-view camera system available as notable upgrades.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Rogue?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 9,081 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.92% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,190, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $22,881 sits slightly below last year's $27,876.

That price decline suggests the Rogue is currently in a softer resale position than it was a year ago, which can work in your favor if you’re buying now. For a future seller, it means you should expect more competition from similarly priced used examples when it’s time to list the vehicle.

The good news is that the Rogue’s broad appeal, strong practicality, and value-oriented positioning should help it remain easy to shop in the used market. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Rogue safe?

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.92% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The Rock Creek trim and newly available ProPilot Assist 2.1 add extra polish and personality this year.
