How much does the 2025 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 17.54% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

With 9,299 listings available, you have a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2025 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Nissan Rogue earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

The Rogue is positioned as a five-passenger compact SUV that emphasizes practicality, value, and broad usefulness. Its strengths include a comfortable ride, good fuel economy, and an upscale interior, which make it appealing if you want an easy-to-live-with daily driver rather than a sporty crossover.

The main trade-offs are modest acceleration and passing power, plus the fact that some rivals are more engaging to drive. Even so, the Rogue’s well-rounded mix of comfort, value, and useful features makes it a strong fit if you want a mainstream SUV that covers the basics well.

Good and great deals account for 37.4% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2025 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Rogue’s appeal centers on everyday usability, comfort, and value, and the expert evaluation reinforces that it is a well-rounded choice rather than a vehicle with obvious weak spots. Its smooth CVT, easy-going driving demeanor, and supportive seating all point to a model designed to be pleasant over time.

The powertrain is described as smooth and refined in routine driving, and the drivetrain’s behavior is praised for staying in the background instead of drawing attention. The cost-effectiveness commentary also notes that the drivetrain is kind to a fuel budget.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright reliability drama and more about living with modest performance if you expect strong acceleration.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Rogue?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or a trim with more equipment. Focus on overall condition, feature operation, and whether the vehicle’s equipment matches the trim level you expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Rogue is offered in five trims: the base S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, and range-topping Platinum. The SV adds an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, two rear USB-C ports, a Wi-Fi hot spot, keyless entry, remote start, dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, and a power liftgate, while the Platinum brings a more luxurious cabin with semi-aniline leather seating surfaces, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, and 10-speaker Bose audio system.
• Powertrain: The Rogue uses a 201-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available on all trims except the Rock Creek, where it comes standard.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection assist, lane departure warning, rear parking sensors, a driver attention monitor, and automatic high-beam headlights. ProPilot Assist and ProPilot Assist 2.1 are available, along with a surround-view parking camera system and traffic-sign recognition.
• Infotainment: Entry-level S and SV trims use an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Upper trims get a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google built-in capability, satellite radio, and Amazon Alexa.
• Fuel efficiency: A front-wheel drive Rogue delivers an EPA-estimated 33 mpg combined, all-wheel drive drops that to 31 mpg combined, and the Rock Creek returns 29 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Rogue is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable with the most basic equipment.
• SV: This is the best-value trim because it adds a wide roster of desirable features, including keyless entry, remote start, dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, and a power liftgate, without jumping all the way to the pricier upper trims.
• Rock Creek: Choose this if you want the Rogue’s more adventurous personality, since it adds all-wheel drive, all-terrain tires, a tubular roof rack, a surround-view camera system, hill-descent control, and trim-specific styling.
• SL: This is the step up if you want the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen with Google built-in, wireless smartphone connectivity, and more premium tech content.
• Platinum: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with the most upscale cabin materials and the richest feature set, but it is also the least value-oriented trim.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, with standard driver-assistance features already covering the essentials.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Rogue?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop carefully without waiting for a perfect bargain.

• Deal availability: 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 9,299 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.54% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,189, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $23,055 sits slightly below last year's $27,960.

That price movement suggests the Rogue has become more accessible for buyers, which can help demand in the near term. For a future seller, the current softer pricing means you may not see the same resale strength as in a hotter market, but the model’s broad appeal still supports steady interest.

Because the Rogue is a mainstream compact SUV with strong practicality and value, it should remain easy to shop in the used market. Well-equipped examples and trims with desirable features are likely to hold attention better than stripped-down versions.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2025 Rogue earns a five-star rating from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection assist, lane departure warning, rear parking sensors, a driver attention monitor, and automatic high-beam headlights. ProPilot Assist and ProPilot Assist 2.1 are available, along with a surround-view parking camera system and traffic-sign recognition.

The main caveat is that IIHS has not tested the 2025 model year yet, so the latest year-specific crash-test picture is incomplete.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 adds Rock Creek trim appeal and newly available ProPilot Assist 2.1.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $20,770, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $23,055 average.
• It brings refreshed styling and a tech overhaul with Google built-in apps.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version with the latest trim and tech updates, the 2025 is the better pick. If your priority is saving money and you still want a modern Rogue with strong tech appeal, the 2024 is the smarter value play.
