Used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder for Sale nearMorning Sun, IA

How much does the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder cost?

Prices have softened 14.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,019 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare across trims and conditions.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 7.5/10 expert rating and is presented as a well-rounded three-row SUV that emphasizes value, practicality, and comfort.

The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

It stands out for excellent cargo capacity, comfortable seating, attractive styling, and a competitive price, which makes it especially appealing if you want a capable everyday family SUV. The trade-offs are that it is not as composed on-road as some rivals and its tech is unimpressive, so you may feel those limits if driving polish or the latest features matter most to you.

With 37.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder is described as a tried-and-true SUV with a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 that mechanics should know well and for which parts should be readily available.

Its overall positioning also points toward solid everyday dependability: it is framed as a well-rounded, reliable experience across ownership, with comfort, practicality, and safety as core strengths. The transmission is described as decisive and unobtrusive, which supports the sense that the powertrain is built for straightforward long-term use.

Nissan Maintenance Care adds up to three oil changes across the first two years or 24,000 miles, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about novelty and more about making sure the vehicle has been maintained consistently, especially if you plan to keep it for many years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific listing matches the trim and equipment you want. A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or one that has seen family-duty use. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, tire condition, and whether the features you expect are actually present on the trim you are shopping.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Pathfinder comes in S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, and Platinum trim levels. The S and SV use cloth seats, while Rock Creek adds leatherette-and-cloth upholstery with orange accents, SL moves to leather, and Platinum upgrades to quilted semi-aniline leather. The base S also misses some comfort and convenience features that appear higher up the range, including a heated steering wheel and available moonroof.
• Powertrain: You get one engine, a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6. S, SV, SL, and Platinum trims make 284 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque, while Rock Creek makes 295 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque on premium fuel. The nine-speed automatic is standard, and Rock Creek’s all-terrain tires help its adventurous character but also reduce efficiency.
• Safety package: Every Pathfinder includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control and Nissan’s ProPilot Assist are standard on all but the base S trim, and traffic sign recognition is standard only on the SL and Platinum trims.
• Infotainment: The S, SV, and Rock Creek use an 8-inch screen, while SL and Platinum get a 9-inch screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, but wireless projection is limited to the 9-inch screen and only for Apple devices. Navigation is standard only on SL and Platinum, and the Bose audio system is standard on Platinum.
• Fuel efficiency: The Rock Creek returns 20 mpg city, 23 highway, and 21 combined. Other 4WD trims return 21/27/23.

Which 2025 Nissan Pathfinder trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but it is the most stripped-down version of the Pathfinder. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable giving up some convenience and driver-assistance features that appear on higher trims.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday comfort and convenience without pushing the price as high as the upper trims. If you want a balanced Pathfinder, this is the one to start with.
• Rock Creek: This is the pick if you want the most distinctive look and a more adventurous setup. It adds all-terrain tires, standard AWD, seven drive modes, and a towing-friendly attitude, but it is less composed on-road and not the best choice if you mainly drive pavement.
• SL: This is the trim to consider if you want a more upscale cabin and more tech. It adds leather seating, a larger screen, navigation, and more available comfort features, making it a strong step up for families who spend lots of time in the vehicle.
• Platinum: This is the most luxurious Pathfinder, with quilted semi-aniline leather, standard ventilation, the best audio setup, and the most complete tech and convenience package. It is the right choice if you want the most premium version and are willing to pay for it.

Traffic sign recognition is standard on the SL and Platinum trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder?

The market looks moderate and selective buyers should have room to shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,019 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.86% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $32,573, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $33,450 sits slightly below last year's $39,286.

That drop suggests the Pathfinder is currently in a softer pricing environment, which can help you buy more SUV for the money today. For a future seller, it also means resale expectations should be realistic unless the market tightens again or your vehicle is especially well equipped and well kept.

Because the current average is still within the year-round range, the Pathfinder appears to be holding a fairly stable position rather than collapsing in value. If you buy carefully now, you may be able to limit depreciation pain by targeting a strong deal up front.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder safe?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder received a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and earns four-star ratings in overall frontal crash testing and rollover, and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan equips every Pathfinder trim with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control and Nissan’s ProPilot Assist are standard on all but the base S trim, while traffic sign recognition is standard on the SL and Platinum trims.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.86% compared with last year.
• The 2025 model gets slight updates that make it a bit more appealing.

Consider the 2026 if:

• Nissan refreshed it with styling and tech improvements, plus a larger touchscreen.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2025 is the stronger buy because pricing is softer and inventory is healthy. If you care more about updated styling and tech, the 2026 is the better path, but price-sensitive buyers should still focus on the 2025.
