Used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder for Sale near Mescalero, NM

How much does the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder cost?

Prices have softened 14.70% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,188 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare across trims and conditions.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 7.5/10 expert rating.

The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

It stands out as a well-rounded three-row SUV with excellent cargo capacity, comfortable seating, and a modern design at a competitive price. The Pathfinder’s strengths are broad rather than flashy, and that makes it especially appealing if you want a practical family workhorse instead of a vehicle built around one standout trick.

The trade-offs are worth keeping in mind: it is not as composed on-road as competitors, and its tech is unimpressive compared with rivals in this class. Even so, the Pathfinder’s value, safety, and everyday usability make it a convincing choice for budget-friendly families.

With 39.1% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a strong-value example.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder is presented as a solid, reliable experience across ownership, with a tried-and-true 3.5-liter V6 and a nine-speed automatic transmission that operates decisively and unobtrusively. The engine has been in service for a long time, which supports familiarity for mechanics and parts availability.

Its performance notes also point to a straightforward mechanical setup rather than a complicated one, and the Pathfinder’s broad focus on comfort and practicality reinforces that dependable, everyday-use character. Nissan Maintenance Care adds up to three oil changes across the first two years or 24,000 miles, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about complexity and more about choosing a well-kept example, since the Pathfinder’s value depends on condition and maintenance history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or a trim with more equipment. Focus on overall condition, tire wear, interior wear, and whether the vehicle’s features work as expected, since the Pathfinder’s value proposition depends on getting the right trim in good shape.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, and Platinum trims differ meaningfully in comfort and convenience. Base trims miss features like a moonroof, heated steering wheel, and some of the richer interior upgrades, while the Platinum adds the most upscale cabin treatment.
• Powertrain: Every Pathfinder uses a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 with a nine-speed automatic. The Rock Creek gets higher output and premium fuel is recommended, while the S trim has lower towing capacity because it lacks the transmission oil cooler.
• Safety package: Nissan’s standard driver-assistance suite includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control and ProPilot Assist are standard on all but the base S trim, and traffic sign recognition is standard on the SL and Platinum.
• Infotainment: The Pathfinder uses an 8-inch screen on the S, SV, and Rock Creek, and a 9-inch screen on the SL and Platinum. Wireless Apple CarPlay is limited to the 9-inch setup, and navigation is standard only on the SL and Platinum.
• Fuel efficiency: The Rock Creek returns 20 mpg city, 23 highway, and 21 combined. Other 4WD trims return 21/27/23.

Which 2025 Nissan Pathfinder trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but it is the most stripped-down version and misses several convenience and driver-assistance features found higher up the range. It makes sense only if your priority is the lowest starting price.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds meaningful everyday comfort and convenience without pushing the price too high. If you want a balanced Pathfinder, this is the one to start with.
• Rock Creek: This is the standout if you want the most adventurous look and the strongest value story. It adds all-terrain tires, standard AWD, a roof rack, and a more rugged appearance, though it is less composed on-road than some rivals.
• SL: This trim is the sweet spot if you want more luxury and tech, including the larger screen, navigation, and more available comfort features. It is a strong choice if you want a more polished family SUV without going all the way to Platinum.
• Platinum: This is the most upscale Pathfinder, with the richest interior materials, standard Bose audio, more display tech, and the most convenience features. Choose it if you want the most premium version and are willing to pay for it.

Adaptive cruise control is standard on all but the base S trim, and traffic sign recognition is standard only on the SL and Platinum.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder?

The market looks moderately favorable if you are a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,188 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.70% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $32,568, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $33,008 sits slightly below last year's $38,697.

That price drop suggests the Pathfinder is currently in a softer resale position than it was a year ago. If you buy now, you may benefit from that lower entry point, but a future seller could face more competition if prices stay under pressure.

The good news is that the Pathfinder’s broad appeal, strong safety reputation, and practical family-friendly layout should help support demand. Still, the current trend means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on trim, mileage, and condition.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder safe?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder received a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and earns five-star ratings overall from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), with four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover testing.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan equips every Pathfinder trim with a strong standard safety suite that includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control and ProPilot Assist are standard on all but the base S trim, and traffic sign recognition is standard on the SL and Platinum.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.70% compared with last year.
• The 2025 model keeps the Pathfinder’s value-focused, family-friendly formula while adding slight updates that improve appeal.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds more convenience features and a larger touchscreen.

The bottom line: If you want the better bargain today, the 2025 is the smarter path because prices are softer and inventory is healthy. If you care more about the newest convenience upgrades and can stretch your budget, the 2026 is the better secondary option.
