Used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder for Sale near Bar Harbor, ME

How much does the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder cost?

Prices have softened 15.04% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,053 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare by trim, mileage, and condition.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 7.5/10 expert rating, and the model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

The Pathfinder is framed as a well-rounded three-row SUV that emphasizes value, practicality, and everyday usability. It stands out for excellent cargo capacity, comfortable seating, a modern design, and a competitive price, which makes it a strong fit if you want a family-focused workhorse rather than a flashy standout.

The trade-offs are clear: it is not as composed on-road as competitors, and its tech is unimpressive relative to rivals in this class. Even so, the overall package is broad and balanced, and the Rock Creek trim is called out as potentially the best bang for your buck in the three-row SUV market.

There are 39.9% good or great deals in the market, which suggests you have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder is described as a solid, reliable experience across ownership, with a tried-and-true 3.5-liter V6 and a nine-speed automatic transmission that operates decisively and unobtrusively.

The engine is presented as familiar to mechanics, with parts likely to be readily available, which is a practical plus for long-term ownership. The Pathfinder’s broad strengths also include comfort, practicality, and safety features, and Nissan Maintenance Care adds up to three oil changes across the first two years or 24,000 miles.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about a known mechanical weak point and more about choosing a well-kept example, since the model’s value depends heavily on condition and maintenance history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or a trim with more equipment. Focus on overall condition, tire wear, interior use, and whether the features you want are actually present on the specific listing.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Pathfinder comes in S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, and Platinum trim levels. The S and SV use cloth seats, while the Rock Creek adds leatherette-and-cloth upholstery with orange accents, the SL moves to leather, and the Platinum upgrades to quilted semi-aniline leather in the first and second rows. The S trim misses some comfort and convenience features found higher up, including heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and available adaptive cruise control.
• Powertrain: Nissan uses one naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 across the lineup. Output is 284 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque on S, SV, SL, and Platinum, while Rock Creek gets 295 hp and 270 lb-ft on premium fuel. A nine-speed automatic is standard, and the Rock Creek’s all-terrain tires and soft suspension make it better for light off-roading than for sharp on-road handling.
• Safety package: Every trim gets blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control and Nissan’s ProPilot Assist are standard on all but the base S trim, and traffic sign recognition is standard only on the SL and Platinum.
• Infotainment: The S, SV, and Rock Creek use an 8-inch screen, while the SL and Platinum get a 9-inch display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, but wireless projection is limited to the 9-inch screen and only for Apple devices. Navigation is standard only on the SL and Platinum.
• Fuel efficiency: The Rock Creek returns 20 mpg city, 23 highway, and 21 combined. Other 4WD trims return 21/27/23.

Which 2025 Nissan Pathfinder trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but it is the most stripped-down version of the Pathfinder. You get the core SUV package, yet you miss some of the comfort and driver-assistance equipment that makes the higher trims easier to live with.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds useful everyday equipment without pushing the price too far up the ladder. It is the smart middle ground if you want a well-equipped Pathfinder without paying for luxury extras.
• Rock Creek: This is the trim to choose if you want the most distinctive look and the most adventurous setup. It adds all-terrain tires, standard AWD, seven drive modes, a roof rack, and extra towing hardware, making it the most compelling pick for buyers who want style and light off-road capability.
• SL: This is the trim to consider if you want a more upscale cabin and more convenience features. It adds leather seating, available heated second-row outboard seats, a heated steering wheel, navigation, and the larger 9-inch screen.
• Platinum: This is the top choice if you want the most comfort and tech. It brings the richest interior materials, standard ventilation for the front seats, the Bose audio system, the 12.3-inch driver display, and the most complete feature set overall.

Traffic sign recognition is standard on the SL and Platinum trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and comparison-focused.

• Deal availability: 39.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,053 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.04% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $32,579, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $33,258 sits slightly below last year's $39,144.

That price drop suggests the Pathfinder has become more approachable for used buyers, but it also means sellers may need to be realistic about expectations. If you buy well now, you are starting from a lower entry point than last year’s market.

For a future seller, the key takeaway is that resale will likely depend heavily on trim, mileage, and condition rather than model-year prestige alone. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should hold up better than basic or heavily worn listings.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder safe?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder received a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and earns five-star overall ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), with four-star ratings in overall frontal crash testing and rollover evaluation.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Pathfinder trim gets blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control and Nissan’s ProPilot Assist are standard on all but the base S trim, and traffic sign recognition is standard on the SL and Platinum.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.04% compared with last year.
• The 2025 model is praised for value, practicality, and a well-rounded ownership experience.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds more convenience features and a larger touchscreen.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2025 is the stronger buy because pricing has softened and the market offers plenty of clean inventory. If you are willing to pay more for newer convenience features and a larger screen, the 2026 is the better path.
