Is the 2025 Nissan Armada a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Nissan Armada earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

It enters its third generation with a total makeover and a new powertrain, and the expanded lineup gives you more ways to shop it, from familiar trims to the first-ever PRO-4X and the upscale Platinum Reserve. The trade-offs are that it is less spacious than some key competitors and its hands-free driving system can be finicky.

The model also posts a 36.3% share of good and great deals, which points to meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Nissan Armada reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Armada’s new-generation redesign and updated powertrain suggest a fresh start for the model, while the expert review highlights strong capability and a more premium feel than before. Its performance notes point to a robust twin-turbo V6, a nine-speed automatic, and substantial towing ability, all of which support confidence in everyday use.

The first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a large, complex SUV can become expensive if prior maintenance or wear items were neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Armada?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific listing matches the trim and equipment you want. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important on a full-size SUV like this, since you’ll want to check condition, wear, and any signs of hard use. Focus on whether the truck has the features you expect and whether the cabin, wheels, and exterior show the kind of wear that can come with a larger family hauler.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SV starts with a striking new design and standard 18-inch wheels, while higher trims add more upscale cabin materials, larger wheels, and more premium presentation. The PRO-4X stands out with rugged styling cues, all-terrain tires, skid plates, and a more adventure-ready look, while Platinum Reserve is the most upscale choice with 22-inch wheels and a more luxurious interior.
• Powertrain: Every 2025 Armada uses a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with 425 horsepower and a nine-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive is available on most trims, while PRO-4X is 4WD-only and adds off-road hardware such as an electronic locking rear differential and metal underbody skid plates.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, and ProPILOT Assist is included across the lineup. SV and PRO-4X get the most basic version with adaptive cruise control and active lane-centering steering assistance, while the other trims get ProPILOT Assist 1.1. SL, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve can also be equipped with ProPILOT Assist 2.1, which adds hands-free highway-driving assist technology.
• Infotainment: Every Armada gets dual screens, with 12.3-inch displays on SV and SL and 14.3-inch displays on PRO-4X, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the SL adds a wireless charging pad and Google Built-In.
• Fuel efficiency: The Armada returns a combined 18 mpg for two-wheel drive models and 16 mpg for four-wheel drive versions.

Which 2025 Nissan Armada trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Armada is offered in 5 trim levels: SV, SL, Platinum, Platinum Reserve, PRO-4X.

Here's the short version:

• SV: This is the value entry point if you want the new-generation Armada at the lowest price. You still get the redesigned SUV, standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the core safety suite, but you give up some of the richer tech and luxury touches found higher up.
• SL: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a wireless charging pad, Google Built-In, and a 12-speaker Klipsch Premium Audio System while also unlocking more advanced driver-assistance options. It’s the trim that most clearly balances everyday convenience with a more premium feel.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want a more upscale cabin and stronger luxury appeal without jumping all the way to the top. It builds on the SL with a more premium presentation and larger standard screens.
• PRO-4X: This is the one to buy if you want the Armada’s new off-road character. It adds all-terrain tires, skid plates, an electronic locking rear differential, and 4WD-only hardware, making it the clear pick for buyers who want the most adventurous version.
• Platinum Reserve: This is the top luxury choice, with the most upscale cabin treatment, 22-inch wheels, and adaptive air suspension. It suits you best if you want the most premium Armada experience and are willing to pay for it.

ProPILOT Assist is standard, with the most basic version on SV and PRO-4X and the more advanced ProPILOT Assist 1.1 on the other trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Armada?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 898 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.93% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $58,108, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Armada's resale value?

The current average of $58,108 sits slightly below last year's $66,737.

That price movement suggests the Armada has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilizes. If demand stays healthy for well-equipped full-size SUVs, a used Armada with the right trim and condition should remain appealing to shoppers who want capability and a more premium feel.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Armada safe?

The 2025 Nissan Armada earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes traffic-sign recognition, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, lane-departure warning and prevention, rear cross-traffic alert, and more. ProPILOT Assist is also standard, with adaptive cruise control and active lane-centering steering assistance on the SV and PRO-4X, while other trims get ProPILOT Assist 1.1 and can be upgraded to ProPILOT Assist 2.1 with hands-free highway-driving assist technology.

The main caveat is that the hands-free system still asks for frequent driver attention, so it is not a fully hands-off experience.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Armada or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.93% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 brings a total makeover, a new powertrain, and the first-ever PRO-4X trim.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a performance-oriented NISMO version.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version with the broadest trim range and better pricing leverage, the 2025 is the smarter buy. If you’re shopping strictly for the lowest entry price, a later used example may still make sense, but the 2025 gives you the biggest step forward in design and capability.
