You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific listing matches the seller’s claims. Focus on the car’s cosmetic and mechanical condition rather than assuming every clean-history example is equally well maintained.

The current average of $27,540 sits slightly below last year's $31,686.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For future resale, the key question is whether the model continues to hold buyer interest at this lower price level. If you buy well now and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Ariya or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2025 makes sense if you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory depth, and owner satisfaction. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you should still compare nearby years, but the 2025 is the primary year to target when you want a broad selection and a market that has already moved lower.
