Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC 4 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it an 8.33 / 10.

Why it stands out
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC stands out as a compact luxury SUV that blends stylish looks, luxury amenities, and strong driving dynamics. It also arrives with a few revisions and a new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle variant, while keeping the lineup simple with just two powertrain options and a simplified array of trims. That measured approach helps make it a compelling choice for buyers who want a premium SUV without an overly complicated lineup.
Behind the wheel, the GLC’s appeal is rooted in its commendable handling and ride quality, along with good size and cargo room. It also offers thrifty fuel economy, especially in the GLC 350e. At the same time, it is not without drawbacks: the engine note can be buzzy, the backseat area is tighter than some shoppers may want, and the infotainment system can be complicated.

Amazing car! I was never a fan of driving until I got my Mercedes, the interior is very comfy and the drive smooth making for an enjoyable day to day driving experience. I also appreciate the visibility and amount of room available in the car making for a comfortable commute (I.e., space in the trunk for groceries, passenger space for family members, etc.). I absolutely love the cars features, my favorite being the “Hey Mercedes” command which makes it easy and safer to operate the car in a hands free manner (I.e., changing the temperature, getting navigation directions, etc.). I also like the ability to create routines within the infotainment system so the car is tailored to my needs (I.e., setting up the climate menu based on the weather). All to say, I do not believe the car is missing anything and is of an excellent value!

Overall, I really like my new 2025 Mercedes GLC 350e. The ride is smooth, comfortable, and it has great technology features. I also like the hybrid option because it helps save on gas and gives flexibility for both electric and gas driving. The design is beautiful inside and out, and it feels very luxurious. My only downside is that the interior and trunk space feel a bit smaller than I expected. If you need extra cargo room or a more spacious cabin, it may feel limited. Other than that, it’s a great SUV and I’m happy with it.

The trade-offs are worth weighing: the engine note can be buzzy, the backseat area is tighter than some shoppers may want, and the infotainment system can be complicated.

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC reliable?
Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.
The GLC’s appeal is supported by its measured approach, with a simplified lineup and two powertrain choices that keep the ownership picture straightforward. In expert testing, it also delivered strong real-world drivability, with power that felt right around town and on the highway, plus a ride and steering setup that felt composed and solid.
The plug-in hybrid setup adds a 23.3-kilowatt-hour battery pack and a single electric motor, and the hybrid system’s torque helps the SUV feel more responsive in everyday driving. The 350e also prioritizes electricity in Hybrid mode, which can help reduce fuel use when your trips fit within its electric range.
If you plan to keep one long term, the main ownership risk is that the more complex infotainment and hybrid hardware can make upkeep and day-to-day familiarity more demanding than a simpler SUV.
What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC?
Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or a loaded trim. Focus on overall condition, because the GLC’s appeal depends heavily on its comfort features, tech, and interior presentation.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The base setup emphasizes a nice selection of driver-assist tech, full connectivity, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an 11.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, heated power seats, and a heated steering wheel, while higher trims add more comfort and equipment.
- Powertrain: The GLC 300 uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, while the 350e plug-in hybrid adds a battery pack and electric motor for stronger combined output and better efficiency.
- Safety package: The standard setup includes blind-spot monitoring, active parking assistance, automatic high beams, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and active braking assistance. The available Driver Assistance Package adds adaptive cruise control, steering assist with stop-and-go capability, lane-change assist with automatic lane change, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, evasive maneuvering, and speed limit assist.
- Infotainment: The center 11.9-inch touchscreen and MBUX system use haptic controls, wireless Apple CarPlay connects quickly, Android Auto is standard, and screen resolution is quite good.
- Fuel efficiency: The GLC 350e is described as especially thrifty, with an impressive 54-mile electric range.
Which 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC trim should I buy?
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC is offered in 3 trim levels: GLC 300, GLC 300 4Matic, GLC 350e 4Matic.
Here's the short version:
- GLC 300: This is the entry point if you want the core GLC experience at the lowest price, with rear-wheel drive, the turbocharged four-cylinder, and the standard comfort and tech setup.
- GLC 300 4Matic: Choose this if you want the same basic package with all-wheel drive for added traction and confidence in poor weather.
- GLC 350e 4Matic: This is the best-value pick if you want the strongest efficiency story, the plug-in hybrid powertrain, and the extra torque that makes the SUV feel more responsive in daily driving.
The standard safety package already includes a solid set of driver-assistance features, while the available Driver Assistance Package adds more advanced highway and lane-support tech.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.
- Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 3,999 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 10.56% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 97.2% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $48,572, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC's resale value?
The current average of $48,617 sits slightly below last year's $54,358.
That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more favorably now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For future sellers, a softer market means condition, mileage, and equipment will matter even more when it comes time to list the vehicle.
Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC safe?
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.
The standard safety equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, active parking assistance, automatic high beams, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and active braking assistance. The available Driver Assistance Package adds adaptive cruise control with steering assist and stop-and-go capability, lane-change assist with automatic lane change, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, evasive maneuvering, and speed limit assist.
That package is the key safety upgrade to look for if you want the most advanced driver-assistance coverage. The main caveat is that some of the more helpful features are not standard on every version.
Should I buy a 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 10.56% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
- It adds a new plug-in hybrid variant and keeps the lineup simple with two powertrain options.
Consider the 2024 if:
- At $41,719, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $48,617 average.
- It broadened the range beyond the original launch setup.
The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year updates, the simplified lineup, and the plug-in hybrid option, the 2025 is the better target. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the core GLC appeal.
