Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC 4 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it an 8.33 / 10.

Why it stands out
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC stands out as a compact luxury SUV that blends stylish looks, luxury amenities, and strong driving dynamics. It also arrives with a few revisions and a new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle variant, while keeping the lineup simple with just two powertrain options and a simplified array of trims. That measured approach helps make it a compelling choice for buyers who want a premium SUV without an overly complicated lineup.
Behind the wheel, the GLC’s appeal is rooted in its commendable handling and ride quality, along with good size and cargo room. It also offers thrifty fuel economy, especially in the GLC 350e. At the same time, it is not without drawbacks: the engine note can be buzzy, the backseat area is tighter than some shoppers may want, and the infotainment system can be complicated.

Amazing car! I was never a fan of driving until I got my Mercedes, the interior is very comfy and the drive smooth making for an enjoyable day to day driving experience. I also appreciate the visibility and amount of room available in the car making for a comfortable commute (I.e., space in the trunk for groceries, passenger space for family members, etc.). I absolutely love the cars features, my favorite being the “Hey Mercedes” command which makes it easy and safer to operate the car in a hands free manner (I.e., changing the temperature, getting navigation directions, etc.). I also like the ability to create routines within the infotainment system so the car is tailored to my needs (I.e., setting up the climate menu based on the weather). All to say, I do not believe the car is missing anything and is of an excellent value!

Overall, I really like my new 2025 Mercedes GLC 350e. The ride is smooth, comfortable, and it has great technology features. I also like the hybrid option because it helps save on gas and gives flexibility for both electric and gas driving. The design is beautiful inside and out, and it feels very luxurious. My only downside is that the interior and trunk space feel a bit smaller than I expected. If you need extra cargo room or a more spacious cabin, it may feel limited. Other than that, it’s a great SUV and I’m happy with it.

| Average Price a Year Ago | $54,476 |

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC a good car?
Generally — the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC earns a 4/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 10/10.
It comes across as a compact luxury SUV that emphasizes stylish design, luxury amenities, and strong driving dynamics. The overview also points to a simple lineup with just two powertrain options, which can make shopping easier if you want a premium SUV without a complicated trim walk.
The main trade-offs are a buzzy engine note and a tighter backseat area, and the infotainment system can be complicated. That makes it a better fit if you value comfort, style, and driving polish more than rear-seat space or a simple interface.
32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC reliable?
Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.
The overview describes the GLC as a polished luxury crossover with strong everyday usability, while the expert review highlights a solid, well-rounded driving experience. That combination points to a vehicle that should feel reassuring in daily use rather than demanding or finicky.
The performance notes also suggest the powertrains are tuned for smooth, usable power, with the hybrid setup adding helpful torque for city and highway driving. On the cost side, the model’s fuel economy is a plus, especially in the plug-in hybrid.
If you buy used, the biggest long-term risk is that a premium SUV’s comfort and tech features can be expensive to sort out if prior maintenance or care was inconsistent.
What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC?
Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment. Focus on overall condition, how the infotainment behaves, and whether the cabin and controls show the kind of wear you would expect from a luxury SUV.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The base model already brings a premium look and feel, but higher trims add more comfort and luxury equipment. If you want the most value, pay close attention to which convenience and appearance features are included.
- Powertrain: The lineup includes a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, plus a plug-in hybrid variant. The hybrid setup adds substantial torque and is the efficiency-focused choice.
- Safety package: The standard setup includes blind-spot monitoring, active parking assistance, automatic high beams, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and active braking assistance. The available Driver Assistance Package adds adaptive cruise control, steering assist with stop-and-go capability, lane-change assist, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, evasive maneuvering, and speed limit assist.
- Infotainment: The center touchscreen measures 11.9 inches, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included. The system also supports over-the-air updates through the latest MBUX suite.
- Fuel efficiency: The plug-in hybrid is the efficiency standout, with an electric range of 54 miles and combined fuel economy of 28 mpg.
Which 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC trim should I buy?
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC is offered in 4 trim levels: GLC 300 SUV, GLC 300 4Matic, GLC 350e 4Matic, Pinnacle.
Here's the short version:
- GLC 300 SUV: This is the entry point and the best-value choice if you want the core GLC experience at the lowest price. It already includes a strong set of driver-assist tech, full connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen, heated power seats, and a heated steering wheel.
- GLC 300 4Matic: Choose this if you want the same basic setup as the base model but prefer all-wheel drive. It makes sense if you shop in poor weather or want extra traction without moving up to the plug-in hybrid.
- GLC 350e 4Matic: This is the efficiency pick. It adds the plug-in hybrid system, stronger combined output, and the best fuel-economy story in the lineup, so it suits you if you can take advantage of charging.
- Pinnacle: This is the most fully equipped version, adding more driver-assist tech, interior comfort, digital headlights, and a head-up display. It is the right pick if you want the most luxury and technology in one package.
The safety package note is simple: the standard driver-assist equipment is solid, but the more advanced features are bundled into the available Driver Assistance Package.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.
- Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 4,005 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 10.86% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 97.3% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $48,562, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC's resale value?
The current average of $48,562 sits slightly below last year's $54,476.
That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more favorably now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than on broad market momentum alone.
Because the model still has strong shopper appeal and a premium badge, well-kept examples should remain competitive when it is time to sell. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC safe?
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS.
It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.
The standard safety equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, active parking assistance, automatic high beams, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and active braking assistance. The available Driver Assistance Package adds adaptive cruise control with steering assist and stop-and-go capability, lane-change assist with automatic lane change, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, evasive maneuvering, and speed limit assist.
That gives you a strong safety foundation even before options, but the most advanced driver-assistance features still require the package.
Should I buy a 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 10.86% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
- The 2025 adds a new plug-in hybrid variant and keeps the lineup simple with just two powertrain options.
Consider the 2024 if:
- At $41,792, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $48,562 average.
- It broadened the lineup beyond the original launch setup and added AMG variants.
The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year setup, the 2025 is the better all-around pick thanks to its softer pricing, strong safety, and simplified lineup. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the smarter value play, especially if you find one in good condition with the equipment you want.
