With 33.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE reliable?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE is presented as a modern luxury coupe-and-convertible with solid performance, strong tech, and a premium ownership experience. Its standard four-year/50,000-mile limited warranty and complimentary roadside assistance add some reassurance for used buyers.

The performance side is broad, with multiple powertrain choices and a mild-hybrid setup across the lineup. That flexibility can help you find a version that fits your driving style, while the brand’s emphasis on refinement and technology supports the CLE’s upscale character.

The first scheduled maintenance visit is covered, which helps soften early ownership costs.

For long-term ownership, the biggest risk is that premium features and repairs can be expensive once warranty coverage ends.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on higher-spec cars with more equipment. Focus on condition details that matter in a luxury two-door: interior wear, convertible-top operation if applicable, and whether the car has the options you want.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The CLE is available in 300, 450 or AMG CLE 53 trims in either hardtop or convertible body styles, and lower trim levels use MB-Tex synthetic leather instead of the nicer upholstery options.
• Powertrain: The 300 uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 255 horsepower, the 450 steps up to a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with 375 horsepower, and the AMG CLE 53 raises output to 433 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque.
• Safety package: The Driver Assistance Package adds lane-keep assist, speed-limit monitoring, evasive steering assist, emergency stop assist, automatic lane changes, and active steering with stop-and-go adaptive cruise control.
• Infotainment: Every CLE gets a 12.3-inch reconfigurable gauge cluster and an 11.9-inch center touchscreen, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; the convertible screen can tilt from 15 to 40 degrees.
• Fuel efficiency: The AMG convertible is rated at 22 mpg combined, while the hardtop with the smaller 2.0-liter engine returns 27 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE is offered in 3 trim levels: 300, 450, AMG CLE 53.

Here's the short version:

• 300: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the CLE’s core style, standard all-wheel drive, and the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 255 horsepower. It’s the best-value choice if you want the CLE experience without chasing the highest price.
• 450: This trim adds the 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with 375 horsepower, making it the sweet spot if you want noticeably stronger performance without jumping all the way to AMG pricing.
• AMG CLE 53: This is the performance-focused choice, with 433 hp, 413 lb-ft of torque, quicker acceleration, more drive modes, and rear-wheel steering that makes it especially nimble.

The Driver Assistance Package is optional, so if advanced safety features matter to you, make sure the specific car you’re considering has it.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 616 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.65% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $62,893, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE's resale value?

The current average of $64,151 sits slightly below last year's $65,897.

That softer pricing can help you buy with less risk of immediate overpaying. If the market stays steady, a well-kept CLE should remain easier to position than a car that bought at a peak.

For a future seller, the key will be condition and equipment. Cars with desirable options, clean history, and strong presentation should hold up better than stripped or heavily worn examples.

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE safe?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE does not have released NHTSA or IIHS crash ratings in the source material.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver assistance includes blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. The Driver Assistance Package adds lane-keep assist, speed-limit monitoring, evasive steering assist, emergency stop assist, automatic lane changes, and active steering with stop-and-go adaptive cruise control.

A key caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you’ll want to verify whether a used example has the package if those systems matter to you.

Should I buy a 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.65% compared with last year.
• It adds strong tech, multiple powertrain choices, and a refined open-top grand-touring feel.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $56,930, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $64,151 average.
• It offers a fresh take on the coupe-and-convertible formula with comfort, technology, and refinement.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It emphasizes a stylish design with easy-to-use technology and a more finely tuned grand-touring character.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current-market value, modern tech, and broad trim choice, the 2025 is the primary path to consider. If your budget is tighter, the 2024 is the better price-sensitive alternative.
