Used 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 for Sale nearYakima, WA

How much does the 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 cost?

Prices have softened 9.77% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,800 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable selection to compare.

Is the 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 a good car?

Yes — with a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating, the 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 lands in appealing territory for you if you want a compact car that feels more polished than many rivals. The expert score is backed by strong marks for look and feel and safety, and Mazda’s own positioning emphasizes quality, sophistication, and enjoyable driving dynamics.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

That said, the trade-offs are real: the back seat is cramped and the technology is outdated, and rear visibility is poor. If you want a compact car that feels a little more special than the norm, the Mazda 3 fits that brief well, especially in sedan or hatchback form and with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

Only 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is selective rather than flooded with bargains.

Is the 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 is described as aging gracefully, and the expert evaluation emphasizes that it still looks, feels, and drives better than some rivals despite its age. That combination matters if you want a used compact car that feels well sorted rather than merely inexpensive.

The standard 2.5-liter engine is described as smooth, quiet, and refined across its rev range, which supports the impression of a durable, easy-to-live-with powertrain. Mazda also gives the car a polished driving character with standard G-Vectoring Control Plus, helping it feel communicative, predictable, trustworthy, and tossable.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is that the car’s aging tech and tight rear-seat packaging may matter more over time than its mechanical polish.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mazda MAZDA3?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean title percentage does not replace a proper inspection. Prioritize a close look at the cabin and rear visibility concerns, since those are recurring weak points in this model year. If you’re comparing listings, focus on condition, equipment, and whether the car’s features match how you plan to use it.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup ranges from base to Select Sport, Preferred, Carbon Edition, and Premium in the 2.5 S series, with Carbon Turbo and Premium Plus on turbocharged versions. Base versions are the most stripped-down, while higher trims add more upscale equipment and features.
• Powertrain: The standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder makes 191 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque, while turbo models raise output to 250 hp and 320 lb-ft on premium fuel, or 227 hp and 310 lb-ft on regular gas.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Adaptive cruise control is available, but the manual-transmission test car did not include stop-and-go capability, and lane centering assist is unavailable.
• Infotainment: Depending on version, the screen measures 8.8 inches or 10.25 inches. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can be used with touchscreen input, but wireless connectivity is limited to only a few versions.
• Fuel efficiency: The manual transmission is rated at 30 mpg in combined driving, and the test car returned 29.1 mpg on a mountainous evaluation loop.

Which 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 is offered in 7 trim levels: base, Select Sport, Preferred, Carbon Edition, Premium, Carbon Turbo, and Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point if you want the lowest-cost way into the Mazda 3 lineup, but it will be the most limited on equipment compared with the higher trims.
• Select Sport: This is the first step up and adds Amazon Alexa Built-in for 2025, making it a sensible value move if you want a little more convenience without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• Preferred: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel than the lower trims while staying away from the turbo pricing and complexity.
• Carbon Edition: This is for you if style matters and you want a more distinctive appearance-oriented version without going all the way to turbo power.
• Premium: This is the best-value trim for driving enthusiasts because it is the only version still available with a manual transmission, and it brings a richer equipment mix.
• Carbon Turbo: Pick this if you want the turbocharged engine’s extra power and torque, along with a more premium-feeling step up from the standard engine.
• Premium Plus: This is the top choice if you want the turbo power plus the most upscale equipment in the lineup.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, but the manual-transmission setup does not include stop-and-go adaptive cruise control, and lane centering assist is unavailable.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mazda MAZDA3?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should shop carefully and compare condition as much as price.

• Deal availability: 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,800 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.77% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,714, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mazda MAZDA3's resale value?

The current average of $22,740 sits slightly below last year's $25,202.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper what a future seller can ask in the near term. If you buy at a strong price now, you may reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The model’s strong reputation for style and driving enjoyment should still help it hold interest better than a purely utilitarian compact car.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 safe?

The 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and five-star ratings in all NHTSA crash tests, including rollover resistance.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Adaptive cruise control is available, though the manual-transmission test car did not include stop-and-go capability, and lane centering assist is unavailable.

One caveat: the lane departure warning system issued inaccurate alerts in narrowing lanes, and adaptive cruise control could slow too aggressively in sharper curves.

Should I buy a 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Mazda adds a new base version of the 2.5 S and more standard convenience features for 2025.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $21,376, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $22,740 average.
• It offers a more upscale feel and strong driving dynamics.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the Mazda 3’s upscale cabin feel and spirited driving character.
• It also offers available all-wheel drive for extra traction.

The bottom line: If you want the newest pricing and feature updates, the 2025 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the smarter value play. If you want to compare against the next model year, the 2026 remains appealing for its style and available all-wheel drive.
