Used 2025 Mazda CX-90 for Sale nearAlbuquerque, NM

How much does the 2025 Mazda CX-90 cost?

Prices have softened 18.59% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,028 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable selection to compare.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-90 a good car?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 earns a 6.2/10 expert rating, and its appeal is strongest if you want a three-row SUV that feels more upscale and more enjoyable to drive than many rivals.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Mazda’s design and premium interior materials help the CX-90 project a luxury-like character, and its unusual powertrain choices make it stand out in the midsize three-row SUV class. The trade-offs are real, though: the base engine is underwhelming, the technology can feel unintuitive, and the cabin space is tighter than you might expect for a family hauler.

The market also looks reasonably supportive, with 34.8% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-90 reliable?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 is presented as a polished, safety-focused family SUV with premium materials and strong driving appeal, but it also has some refinement issues that matter for long-term ownership.

Its powertrain is described as unrefined, especially at startup, and the transmission behavior can feel unpredictable until everything warms up. The drivetrain can also feel noisy and less isolated than you’d want in a vehicle that otherwise aims for an upscale impression.

Mazda does include one year of complimentary Mazda Connected Services, which is a small ownership perk. Even so, the combination of fussy controls and drivetrain rough edges means you should pay close attention to how the vehicle behaves on a test drive before committing to a used example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mazda CX-90?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with more equipment. Focus on cabin condition, control ergonomics, and how smoothly the drivetrain behaves from a cold start.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Mazda sells three variants of the 2025 CX-90: the 3.3 Turbo, the 3.3 Turbo S, and the PHEV. Depending on your choice, trim levels can include Select, Preferred, Premium, Premium Sport, and Premium Plus. Base versions miss some of the richer materials and convenience touches that help the CX-90 feel upscale.
• Powertrain: The 3.3 Turbo models use a turbocharged 3.3-liter inline six with 280 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, while the 3.3 Turbo S raises output to 319 hp and 369 lb-ft. The plug-in hybrid adds 25 miles of electric range.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, and a vehicle exit warning system. Higher trims add steering assist to blind-spot monitoring, emergency lane-keeping assist, front cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: A 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel pairs with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allow touch operation, but the native Mazda Connect system relies on the center-console knob and buttons.
• Fuel efficiency: The 3.3 Turbo and 3.3 Turbo S are rated at 25 mpg combined, and the plug-in hybrid is rated for 25 miles of electric range before operating like the other models.

Which 2025 Mazda CX-90 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 is offered in 5 trim levels: Select, Preferred, Premium, Premium Sport, and Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• Select: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the CX-90’s core design, safety, and driving character at the lowest price.
• Preferred: This is the best-value trim if you want a stronger balance of comfort and equipment without pushing too far up the price ladder.
• Premium: This is the sweet spot if you want a more upscale feel and more of the CX-90’s premium presentation.
• Premium Sport: Choose this if you want a more distinctive appearance and a richer feature mix.
• Premium Plus: This is the one to buy if you want the most complete version of the CX-90’s upscale cabin and available equipment.

Mazda adds more advanced safety equipment as you move up the lineup, including steering assist for blind-spot monitoring, emergency lane-keeping assist, front cross-traffic alert, parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mazda CX-90?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,028 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.59% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $32,837, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mazda CX-90's resale value?

The current average of $32,837 sits slightly below last year's $40,333.

That drop suggests the CX-90 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help you as a used buyer. If you plan to resell later, the current pricing may leave less room for further steep declines than a newer, more expensive purchase would.

Because the market has softened, a well-kept example bought near today’s average could be easier to justify than one purchased when prices were higher. The key is to buy a clean, well-equipped trim so your ownership experience stays strong if you decide to sell down the road.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-90 safe?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS and five-star ratings in all crash tests conducted by NHTSA, as well as a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Mazda makes a long list of driver aids standard, including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, and a vehicle exit warning system. Higher trims add steering assist to blind-spot monitoring, emergency lane-keeping assist, front cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.

The main caveat is that some of the more advanced assistance features are reserved for pricier trims, so you’ll want to confirm the exact equipment on any used listing you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2025 Mazda CX-90 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.59% compared with last year.
• It combines premium design, strong safety, and distinctive powertrain choices.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $30,339, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $32,837 average.
• It emphasizes engaging handling and a driver-focused character.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the premium look and feel while adding minor lineup updates.
• It remains a strong choice for buyers who want style, safety, and driving enjoyment.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the best all-around pick if you want the CX-90’s premium feel, strong safety, and improved market pricing. If your priority is spending less, the 2024 is the better value path.
