You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific listing matches its advertised condition. The current average of $36,018 sits slightly below last year's $43,476.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, that also means resale performance will depend heavily on how well the vehicle is maintained and how competitively it is priced when you decide to sell. If you buy well now, you may have less depreciation pressure than someone who paid closer to last year's average.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Mazda CX-70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 42.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the primary choice if you want a well-supported market with strong owner satisfaction and a favorable pricing trend. If you're especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a similar vehicle offers a lower entry price, but the 2025 already looks attractive for shoppers who want a balanced mix of value and confidence.
