How much does the 2025 Kia Telluride cost?

Prices have softened 12.97% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,807 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Kia Telluride a good car?

Generally — the 2025 Kia Telluride earns 4/5 from users and 8.17/10 from expert testing. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

It stands out as a stylish, family-friendly three-row SUV that’s well suited to long-distance travel, city driving, and even trail use. The expert testing also highlights its comfortable ride and strong safety ratings.

The main trade-offs are outdated technology and an irritating lane-assist system. It also has sticky brakes in thick traffic, which is worth keeping in mind if you spend a lot of time in stop-and-go driving.

The market looks healthy, with 39.7% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Kia Telluride reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Telluride’s appeal is reinforced by its polished road manners, comfortable ride, and strong overall execution in expert testing. It’s also described as a vehicle that remains impressive on long trips and in varied driving conditions.

Its 3.8-liter V6 is described as smooth, refined, and amply powered, and the road-trip fuel economy was respectable for the class. Kia’s warranty coverage and roadside assistance add another layer of ownership confidence.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that age-related tech frustrations and brake behavior may matter more as mileage and wear accumulate.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Kia Telluride?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history carefully and prioritize a thorough inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with added equipment. Focus on how the cabin electronics, driver-assist systems, and brakes behave in real-world use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes LX, S, EX, SX, and SX Prestige. The base LX is the most affordable, while higher trims add more upscale materials and more advanced equipment. The lower trims also miss some of the richer screen and display features found higher up the range.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a 3.8-liter V6 with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on LX, S, EX, and SX, while AWD is standard on other versions and available on S, EX, and SX.
• Safety package: Drive Wise includes forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, intersection assistance, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, and safe exit assist. Highway Driving Assist is standard on every trim, with lane-change assist added on higher trims.
• Infotainment: SX and SX Prestige trims get a 12.3-inch digital driver display and a 12.3-inch touchscreen under one piece of glass, plus a 10-inch head-up display on SX Prestige. The Telluride does not have wireless Apple CarPlay or wireless Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: The road-trip result was 20.2 mpg, which aligned with the EPA rating of 20 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2025 Kia Telluride trim should I buy?

The 2025 Kia Telluride is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, S, EX, SX, and SX Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Telluride experience at the lowest price. It’s the trim to consider if you want the SUV’s style, space, and standard safety equipment without paying for the more upscale screens and luxury touches.
• S: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more equipment without jumping too far up the price ladder. It’s a smart middle ground if you want a better-equipped Telluride but don’t need the top-end display and comfort upgrades.
• EX: This trim moves you closer to the more premium side of the lineup and is the first step toward the X-Line and X-Pro packages. It makes sense if you want more capability and a richer feature set.
• SX: This is where the cabin tech steps up, including the larger digital display setup. Choose it if you want a more modern-feeling interior and are willing to pay for it.
• SX Prestige: This is the most luxurious regular trim and the one to target if you want the most complete equipment list. It’s the best fit if you care most about comfort, display tech, and upscale presentation.

Higher trims also bring more advanced safety and driver-assistance features, including the camera-based Blind Spot View Monitor and additional collision-avoidance functions.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia Telluride?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 39.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,807 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.97% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,936, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Kia Telluride's resale value?

The current average of $35,936 sits slightly below last year's $41,291.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at a strong price, you may have a better chance of protecting your value later.

The Telluride’s broad appeal as a family-friendly three-row SUV should help support demand over time. Strong owner satisfaction can also help keep resale interest healthy.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Kia Telluride safe?

The 2025 Kia Telluride earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Kia’s Drive Wise suite includes forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, intersection assistance, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, and safe exit assist. Highway Driving Assist is standard on every trim, and higher trims add lane-change assist.

One caveat is that the lane-centering system can be overly assertive and frustrating on curving roads. Higher trims also add more advanced camera-based and collision-avoidance features.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Telluride or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It combines strong safety ratings with long-distance comfort and family-friendly capability.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $35,495, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $35,936 average.
• It feels especially well suited to family life.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version with the current market pricing and strong safety credentials, the 2025 is the better default choice. If your priority is saving a little money and you’re comfortable with a very similar overall package, the 2024 is the smarter price-sensitive alternative.
