The current average of $30,622 sits slightly below last year's $31,741.

That softer pricing can work in your favor if you’re buying now, but it also means future resale value may depend heavily on how well you maintain the vehicle. A clean history, strong service records, and above-average condition should help you protect more of your value when it’s time to sell. If you buy at the lower end of the range, you may also have a better cushion against depreciation.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Sportage Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.53% compared with last year.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a balanced size, useful technology, and more premium interior materials.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2025 is the stronger starting point because pricing has softened and deal availability is decent. If you’re willing to pay more for the newer model year and want the updated package, the 2026 is worth a look; otherwise, the 2025 should be your primary target, especially if you’re price-sensitive and can find one near the low end of the range.
