How much does the 2025 GMC Terrain cost?

Prices have softened 8.34% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,693 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2025 GMC Terrain a good car?

The 2025 GMC Terrain stands out as a redesigned compact SUV with a more upscale, tech-heavy cabin than before. Standard equipment is especially notable: the 2025 Terrain Elevation includes a 15-inch touchscreen with the latest GMC infotainment software and Google built-in, plus an 11-inch digital driver information center directly in front of the driver.

It also brings a useful mix of safety and convenience features, including adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, enhanced automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian and bicyclist braking, intersection automatic emergency braking, rear cross traffic braking, reverse automatic braking, side bicyclist alert, and blind zone steering assist. That makes it a strong fit if you want a compact SUV with a premium feel and a lot of standard technology, though it is not the roomiest choice in the class.

39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are meaningful opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 GMC Terrain reliable?

The 2025 GMC Terrain comes across as a well-equipped compact SUV with a broad standard safety suite and useful convenience features. GMC also added a Drive Mode Selector for 2025, and Teen Driver technology may be helpful if you plan to share the vehicle with newer drivers.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a feature-rich, tech-heavy SUV can be more expensive to keep in top shape if anything electronic or convenience-related needs attention over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 GMC Terrain?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the listing matches the seller’s description, especially on trim, equipment, and prior damage. Put inspection priority on the cabin electronics, driver-assistance features, and overall condition, since this model leans heavily on technology and comfort equipment.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 GMC Terrain?

This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,693 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.34% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,302, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 GMC Terrain's resale value?

The current average of $27,526 sits slightly below last year's $30,031.

That price movement suggests the Terrain has softened enough to help you buy more selectively today, but it also means future resale may depend heavily on how well you preserve condition and mileage. If you keep the vehicle clean, well maintained, and free of accident history, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell. The current market also gives you a clearer benchmark for what a fair asking price looks like later on.

Should I buy a 2025 GMC Terrain or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.34% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 Terrain is the better pick if you want the newer redesign, the upgraded cabin, and the strongest standard tech package in this comparison. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby model year may be worth a look, but the 2025 is the cleaner choice if you value the updated interior and broader feature set.
