How much does the 2025 GMC Canyon cost?

There are 1,541 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 GMC Canyon a good car?

The 2025 GMC Canyon stands out as a midsize pickup that leans harder into power, technology, and available luxury than many shoppers might expect from a truck this size. It is offered only as a four-door crew cab with a five-foot bed, and its turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine makes 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. Standard equipment is also generous for the class, with an eight-inch digital instrument panel, an 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and standard safety features that include frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist.

What makes the Canyon especially distinctive is how far its trim lineup can be pushed toward either off-road capability or upscale comfort. The AT4X adds locking front and rear differentials, underbody skid plates, a raised suspension with adaptive Multimatic DSSV dampers, and available driver-assist upgrades such as adaptive cruise control and a 360-degree camera system. At the other end of the spectrum, the Denali trim emphasizes chrome exterior accents, 20-inch wheels, and a more refined interior. GMC also simplified the lineup for 2025 by making the AT4X and AT4X AEV optional packages on the AT4, while adding the Nightfall Edition package with blacked-out accents, a rocker panel protector, a bed-mounted off-road sports bar, and 20-inch gloss-black aluminum wheels.

The tradeoff is that the Canyon’s stronger performance and richer equipment come with some compromises. The more off-road-focused models are slower and less agile on the road than the Elevation and Denali trims, and fuel economy drops as capability rises. Even so, the 2025 Canyon remains appealing because it combines serious power, a broad range of configurations, and a level of standard and available equipment that helps it feel more premium than a typical midsize pickup.

With 34.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful share of the market to shop from.

For long-term ownership, you should expect higher complexity and more upkeep risk than with a simpler, less feature-rich truck.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 GMC Canyon?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the truck’s equipment and trim match the listing photos and description. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the suspension, tires, brakes, and any off-road hardware if you’re considering a more capable trim. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, especially if the truck has been used for towing or trail driving.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 GMC Canyon?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,541 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.34% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 95.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $41,756, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 GMC Canyon's resale value?

The current average of $41,776 sits slightly below last year's $44,603.

That price movement suggests the Canyon has softened enough to help you buy more carefully today, but it also means future resale may depend heavily on trim, mileage, and condition. If you choose a well-equipped version with strong demand, you may preserve value better than with a less desirable configuration. Clean history and careful maintenance should matter more than ever if you want to protect your exit price later.

Should I buy a 2025 GMC Canyon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.34% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $40,014, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $41,776 average.
• It adds a tougher AEV package with taller stance and 35-inch tires.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a new Coastal Dune paint color and a lift kit option for the AT4X.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the best all-around choice if you want the strongest mix of power, tech, and premium feel, especially with today’s softer pricing. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the smarter value play, while the 2026 makes sense if you want the newest updates and can pay more for them.
