Used 2025 Dodge Durango for Sale nearAmarillo, TX

How much does the 2025 Dodge Durango cost?

Prices have softened 19.79% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,304 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Dodge Durango a good car?

The 2025 Dodge Durango earns a 7.17/10 expert rating, and its strongest category score is 9/10 for form and function.

The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

It remains a likable midsize three-row SUV with a roomy, comfortable, and practical interior, plus a modern infotainment system. That makes it appealing if you want family-friendly space without giving up the Durango’s performance-first personality.

The trade-offs are clear: it has an unquenchable thirst for fuel and a basic package of safety features. It also carries unimpressive crash-test ratings, so you should weigh its strengths against those compromises.

The market still shows 42.1% good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Dodge Durango reliable?

The 2025 Dodge Durango is described as an older design that has aged remarkably well, but its age still matters when you think about long-term ownership. It remains practical and comfortable, yet the model’s basic safety equipment and dated engineering mean you should be selective about condition and maintenance history.

Its performance side is a major part of the appeal, especially if you want strong power and a capable V8-driven SUV. At the same time, the Durango’s age and fuel appetite make it less reassuring as a long-haul used purchase than a newer design with more modern hardware.

The first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house.

For used buyers, the long-term risk is that age-related wear and repair exposure can outweigh the Durango’s strengths if the previous owner did not stay ahead of maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Dodge Durango?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially because this SUV’s age and performance focus make condition more important than mileage alone. Pay close attention to maintenance records, tire and brake wear, and any signs that the vehicle was driven hard or modified.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The GT is the base model with a V6 and rear-wheel drive, while the SRT Hellcat adds a supercharged V8, more aggressive visual treatment, and a much more premium cabin. The GT is the value-oriented choice, while the Hellcat suits you if you want maximum performance and can live with the price and fuel costs.
• Powertrain: The GT uses a 295-horsepower 3.6-liter V6, the R/T uses a 360-hp 5.7-liter V8, and the SRT Hellcat uses a 710-hp supercharged 6.2-liter V8. All use an eight-speed automatic, with AWD standard on the R/T and SRT Hellcat and optional on the GT.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. Available upgrades add adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and front parking sensors.
• Infotainment: Every 2025 Durango gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and native navigation. It also includes wireless smartphone charging, dual-phone Bluetooth pairing, and access to connected services.
• Fuel efficiency: The SRT Hellcat is rated at 12/17/13 mpg in city/highway/combined driving.

Which 2025 Dodge Durango trim should I buy?

The 2025 Dodge Durango is offered in 3 trim levels: GT, R/T, and SRT Hellcat.

Here's the short version:

• GT: This is the entry point and the best-value choice if you want the Durango’s roomy interior, modern infotainment, and lower starting price without paying for V8 power.
• R/T: This is the smart step-up if you want a stronger V8 and standard AWD while staying below the Hellcat’s extreme pricing and fuel demands.
• SRT Hellcat: This is the one to buy if you want the full performance experience, including the supercharged V8, performance hardware, and the most aggressive character in the lineup.

The safety package is basic by modern standards, and the available driver-assistance upgrades are worth seeking out if you want a more complete feature set.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Dodge Durango?

The market looks favorable for shoppers right now, especially if you want to negotiate from a position of strength.

• Deal availability: 42.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,304 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.79% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,136, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Dodge Durango's resale value?

The current average of $34,136 sits slightly below last year's $42,558.

That drop suggests the Durango is in a softer pricing environment than it was a year ago, which can help you buy more SUV for the money today. If you plan to sell later, the same trend means you should expect resale values to depend heavily on trim, condition, and mileage.

Because the Durango is nearing the end of its production run, well-kept examples may hold appeal for buyers who want its V8 character and three-row practicality. Still, the current price trend shows that the market is rewarding shoppers more than sellers right now.

Is the 2025 Dodge Durango safe?

The 2025 Dodge Durango earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, along with a three-star rollover resistance rating for AWD models.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

The Durango’s standard safety equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. Available upgrades add adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and front parking sensors.

The main caveat is that its crash-test performance is unimpressive, and the small overlap frontal-impact result is a concern. That lines up with the model’s older engineering and its relatively basic safety package.

Should I buy a 2025 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 42.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.79% compared with last year.
• It’s the final-year Durango with the GT, R/T, and SRT Hellcat lineup still intact.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the Durango’s old-school V8 appeal while remaining a current model-year choice.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, inventory, and final-year appeal, the 2025 is the stronger buy. If you’re mainly shopping for the newest available version of the same formula, the 2026 is the cleaner path, but price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2025 while deals are still favorable.
