How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Malibu cost?

Prices have softened 12.09% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,356 listings available, which suggests you should have a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Malibu a good car?

The 2025 Chevrolet Malibu stands out as a roomy, value-oriented midsize sedan with a long history of improving refinement. For you, that means a practical family car with a spacious back seat, a broad spread of available equipment, and a price position that tends to undercut many rivals.

It also brings a longer wheelbase and overall length, which helps open up the cabin, even though trunk space slightly shrank. If you want comfort and value more than class-leading polish, the Malibu fits that use case well. 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Malibu reliable?

The 2025 Chevrolet Malibu’s later-run reputation is generally stronger than earlier Malibus, and the model is described as having a relatively strong reliability record compared with earlier versions. That makes it a more reassuring used-car choice if you want a straightforward sedan with a history of improving refinement.

It is still wise to focus on maintenance records and overall condition, especially because long-term ownership risk can rise quickly if a used example has been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Malibu?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the car for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or poor repairs. Pay close attention to cabin condition, feature operation, and overall mechanical feel so you can separate a clean, well-kept Malibu from one that has been used hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Malibu?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,356 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.09% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 83.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,639, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Malibu's resale value?

The current average of $19,639 sits slightly below last year's $22,339.

That price movement suggests the Malibu has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer market than before. If you buy well and keep the car in clean condition, you can help protect value, but the current trend points to a model that is still more about affordability than strong appreciation. For resale, the best outcome will usually come from a well-documented, accident-free example with desirable equipment and strong cosmetic condition.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Malibu or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.09% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 Malibu makes the most sense if you want a roomy, value-focused midsize sedan and you can find a clean example at a competitive price. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may widen your shopping pool, but the 2025 is the better target when you want the latest version of the Malibu’s final-run formula and a market that still offers meaningful deal potential.
