Used 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ for Sale near Minnesota

How much does the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ cost?

Prices have softened 14.41% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 215 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ a good car?

The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ earns an expert rating of 7.83/10.

The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

The overview frames it as an entry-level electric SUV that gives you a cheaper way into Cadillac’s EV lineup, with stylish design and strong value for money. The trade-offs are clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, forward visibility is limited, and torque steer can make the AWD system feel less settled than you’d expect.

That mix makes it a smart fit if you want a luxury EV that emphasizes value, range, and style over outright speed or sharp handling. Good and great deals account for 34.9% of listings, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ reliable?

The overview positions the OPTIQ as a new entry-level EV in Cadillac’s lineup, and the expert notes reinforce that it brings a standard dual-motor AWD setup and a battery pack sized for real-world range. The driving notes also point to a cabin that stays quiet and a ride that remains comfortable, which are encouraging signs for day-to-day use.

On the ownership side, the battery pack is covered by an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty, which helps reduce long-term EV risk for used buyers. The main thing to keep in mind is that you should still verify battery health and charging behavior before you buy, since that matters more than traditional engine wear on an EV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing multiple listings with different mileage and charging habits. Focus on cabin condition, wheel and tire wear, and whether the car has been charged mostly at home or relied on frequent DC fast charging.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup is divided into Luxury and Sport categories, with two levels for each. Both versions get standard 20-inch wheels, while Luxury models use a lighter Pearl Nickel finish and Sport models use a Dark Android finish; Sport models also get more mesh-like grille trim. The base trim is the one most likely to leave you wanting if you care about extra equipment, since higher trims add more convenience features.
• Powertrain: You get a standard dual-motor AWD setup with 300 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque, paired with an 85-kilowatt-hour battery pack. The setup delivers solid everyday capability, but the expert notes say performance is fairly pedestrian and torque steer can make the car feel less composed than the AWD badge suggests.
• Safety package: Super Cruise is standard, along with forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a driver attention monitor, and a rear-seat reminder. Cadillac also includes the Safety Alert Seat and teen driver monitoring.
• Infotainment: The cabin centers on a 33-inch curved display, and Cadillac says its resolution is equivalent to 9K. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not available, but you do get Google Built-in apps, and a head-up display is available.
• Range & charging: The battery pack provides an EPA-estimated 302 miles of range. DC fast charging peaks at 150 kilowatts, and Cadillac says that can add 79 miles in 10 minutes. The standard onboard charger is 11.5 kW, with an optional 19.2-kW charger available.
• Battery health: For a used EV, you should ask for battery state-of-health information and review charging history. A car that has mostly seen normal home charging is generally easier to live with than one that has spent a lot of time on fast chargers. You should also check how much of the battery warranty remains, since that coverage is a major part of the ownership equation.

Which 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ trim should I buy?

The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ is offered in 4 trim levels: Luxury 1, Luxury 2, Sport 1, Sport 2.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury 1: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core OPTIQ formula: standard AWD, Super Cruise, the 33-inch display, and the 302-mile range. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model and don’t need extra convenience features.
• Luxury 2: This is the best-value trim because it adds useful equipment like surround-view cameras and ventilated front seats without changing the OPTIQ’s basic mission. If you want the sweet spot between price and comfort, this is the one to target.
• Sport 1: Choose this if you prefer the darker exterior treatment and want the Sport look while staying close to the starting price. It’s mainly about styling rather than a major equipment jump.
• Sport 2: This is the most expensive trim, and it’s the one to consider if you want the Sport appearance plus the higher-spec feature set. It suits you best if you’re already committed to the Sport theme and want the most fully equipped version.

Super Cruise is standard across the lineup, so you don’t need to move up a trim just to get Cadillac’s hands-free highway driving system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 215 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.41% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $41,834, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ's resale value?

The current average of $41,834 sits slightly below last year's $48,877.

That drop suggests the OPTIQ is currently in a softer pricing phase, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means you should expect resale values to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how much warranty coverage remains.

Because this is an EV with a strong range figure and standard premium features, well-kept examples should hold up better than neglected ones. If you plan to sell later, keeping the battery healthy and the car accident-free will matter a lot.

Is the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ safe?

The Optiq sets itself apart from rivals with its standard Super Cruise hands-free highway driving system.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Other standard driver aids include forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a driver attention monitor, and a rear-seat reminder. Cadillac also includes the vibrating Safety Alert Seat and teen driver monitoring.

Should I buy a 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.41% compared with last year.
• The 2025 stands out for surprising value among electric luxury SUVs, with standard AWD, Super Cruise, and strong range.

The bottom line:

If you want the strongest mix of value, range, and standard equipment, the 2025 is the one to focus on. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can wait for a listing near the low end of the range, but the current market already gives you enough inventory and deal activity to shop seriously now.
