How much does the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ cost?

There are 233 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ a good car?

The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ earns a 7.8/10 expert rating, and the standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

It arrives as Cadillac’s new entry-level electric vehicle, positioned below the brand’s larger electric SUVs, so you’re looking at a smaller, lower-priced luxury EV rather than a flagship statement piece. The appeal starts with its stylish design and surprising value among electric luxury SUVs, and it also brings impressive electric range. The main trade-offs are fairly pedestrian performance and limited forward visibility.

The Optiq’s value case is reinforced by its standard equipment and its place in the market, where 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ reliable?

The Optiq is presented as a new entry-level EV in Cadillac’s lineup, and its standard dual-motor AWD setup is paired with an 85-kWh battery pack. Cadillac’s standard battery warranty is eight years or 100,000 miles, which helps support long-term ownership confidence.

The performance setup is described as capable but not especially quick, and the driving notes point to some torque steer and a steering feel that can require more input than you might expect. Cadillac also says the standard 150-kilowatt DC fast charging can recover 79 miles of range in 10 minutes, while the standard 11.5-kW onboard charger supports home and Level 2 charging.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term risk is making sure the battery, charging behavior, and overall EV hardware have been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s charging equipment, software, and battery-related systems are in good shape. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on the EV hardware, tire wear, and any signs that the car has been driven hard or charged in ways that don’t match the seller’s story. Because this is an electric luxury SUV, you’ll also want to pay close attention to cabin condition, electronics, and how well the interior features are functioning.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup is divided into Luxury and Sport categories, with two levels for each. Both versions get painted 20-inch wheels as standard equipment, while Luxury models use a lighter Pearl Nickel finish and Sport models use a Dark Android finish; Sport models also have more mesh-like grille trim. The interior uses a curved dashboard display, upgraded soft-touch materials, recycled-fabric trim, and Interluxe artificial leather, so base-trim shoppers should check whether the equipment level matches their expectations.
• Powertrain: The Optiq comes standard with a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup producing 300 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. It uses an 85-kilowatt-hour battery pack, and the driving notes mention some torque steer and a steering feel that can require more input than expected.
• Safety package: Super Cruise is standard, along with forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a driver attention monitor, and a rear-seat reminder. Cadillac also includes the vibrating Safety Alert Seat and GM’s teen driver monitoring system.
• Infotainment: The 33-inch curved display combines the touchscreen and digital instrument cluster, and Cadillac says the resolution is equivalent to 9K. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not available, but Google Built-in apps are standard, and a head-up display is available.
• Range & charging: The Optiq has an EPA-estimated 302 miles of range. Cadillac says 150-kilowatt DC fast charging can recover 79 miles in 10 minutes, the standard 11.5-kW onboard charger can add 33 miles per hour on Level 2 AC charging, and the optional 19.2-kW charger raises that to 55 miles per hour.
• Battery health: For a used EV, you should check battery state-of-health, confirm how the car has typically been charged, and make sure the battery warranty coverage still applies. Home and Level 2 charging are generally easier on daily use, while frequent DC fast charging can be worth asking about during inspection and ownership review.

Which 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ trim should I buy?

The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ is offered in 4 trim levels: Luxury 1, Luxury 2, Sport 1, Sport 2.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury 1: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Optiq formula: standard AWD, Super Cruise, the 33-inch display, and the upscale interior design that helps the model stand out. If you want the best-value way into the lineup, this is the trim to start with.
• Luxury 2: This trim adds features such as surround-view cameras and ventilated front seats, so it makes sense if you want a more comfort- and convenience-focused setup without moving all the way up the range.
• Sport 1: Choose this if you prefer the Sport styling treatment, including the darker exterior details and the same core equipment set as the Luxury side.
• Sport 2: This is the top trim in the lineup, pairing the Sport look with the highest equipment level for shoppers who want the most fully loaded version.

Safety-package note: Super Cruise and the other driver-assistance features are standard across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ?

The market looks moderately favorable if you’re a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 233 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.76% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $41,841, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ's resale value?

The current average of $42,299 sits slightly below last year's $46,358.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled from where it was a year ago, which can be good news if you’re buying now. For a future seller, it means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car is equipped. If the market stays soft, a clean, well-kept example should hold up better than one with visible wear or incomplete service history.

Is the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ safe?

The Optiq sets itself apart from rivals with its standard Super Cruise hands-free highway driving system.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Other standard driver aids include forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a driver attention monitor, and a rear-seat reminder. Cadillac also includes the vibrating Safety Alert Seat and GM’s teen driver monitoring system. Crash-test ratings from IIHS and NHTSA were not available at press time.

Should I buy a 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.76% compared with last year.
• The 2025 stands out for its strong value, impressive range, and standard Super Cruise.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of range, standard equipment, and value, the 2025 is the one to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, you can shop carefully for a lower-priced example, but the 2025 already looks like the sweet spot for buyers who want a well-equipped used electric luxury SUV.
