Used 2025 BMW M3 for Sale nearAbilene, TX

How much does the 2025 BMW M3 cost?

Prices have softened 4.11% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 306 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 BMW M3 a good car?

The 2025 BMW M3 earns an expert rating of 8.5/10.

The model scores 9/10 across Performance, Form and function, and Safety.

BMW’s own summary frames it as a rare super sedan that blends everyday usability with serious performance, and that’s the core of the appeal here. The M3’s strengths are its breathtaking overall performance, intuitive traction control systems, and commodious interior dimensions, so you get a car that can work as a daily driver without giving up the speed and capability you expect from an M car.

The trade-offs are worth keeping in mind: the styling won’t suit everyone, the infotainment system takes some getting used to, and the car can feel heavy and dimensionally large. Even so, the 34.6% share of good or great deals suggests there are still attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 BMW M3 reliable?

BMW positions the 2025 M3 as a mechanically focused performance sedan with no hybrid assistance, and the expert summary emphasizes its long-running inline-six formula and broad configuration range. That setup points to a straightforward performance-first approach rather than a complicated electrified powertrain.

The expert test drive notes that the twin-turbo inline-six delivers strong acceleration across the rev band, while the car’s cooling hardware helps it stay composed under hard use. The performance content also highlights the M3’s everyday-friendly nature, with comfort and usability still intact alongside the speed.

On the ownership side, the cost-effectiveness notes make clear that this is an expensive car to buy, maintain, and fix, so long-term used ownership risk is higher than with a mainstream sedan. If you want one, it makes sense to prioritize a well-kept example with a clean history and strong maintenance records.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 BMW M3?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and inspect the car closely, especially because this is a high-performance sedan that may have seen hard use. Pay extra attention to tire wear, brake condition, wheel damage, and signs that the car has been driven aggressively or modified. It’s also smart to verify that the features you want are actually present, since some equipment is trim- or option-dependent.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The standard car gives you the six-speed manual, rear-wheel drive, adaptive dampers, and nearly 480 hp, while the Competition adds more power and an eight-speed automatic. The Competition xDrive adds all-wheel drive and is the most traction-focused setup.
• Powertrain: All versions use a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six, with 473 hp and 406 lb-ft in the base car and 503 hp and 479 lb-ft in Competition form. The base model is manual-only, while Competition trims use the automatic.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, active blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. BMW’s Active Driving Assistant Pro adds radar cruise control, lane-centering, lane-change assist, traffic jam assist, and evasion assist.
• Infotainment: The M3 uses a 14.9-inch iDrive 8.5 screen, and Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM compatibility, and Bluetooth are standard. The system is smooth and responsive, but it does take some getting used to.
• Fuel efficiency: The M3 returns an EPA-rated 16 mpg city, 22 mpg highway, and 18 mpg combined.

Which 2025 BMW M3 trim should I buy?

The 2025 BMW M3 is offered in 3 trim levels: M3, M3 Competition, M3 Competition xDrive.

Here's the short version:

• M3: This is the one to buy if you want the purest driver’s car in the lineup, because it gives you the six-speed manual and rear-wheel drive along with the lowest starting price. It’s the best-value trim if you care most about involvement and still want the core M3 experience.
• M3 Competition: Choose this if you want more power and the eight-speed automatic without stepping all the way up to all-wheel drive. It adds a stronger straight-line punch and is the better fit if you prefer convenience over manual engagement.
• M3 Competition xDrive: This is the pick if you want the most traction and the quickest acceleration, especially in mixed weather or if you simply want the most capable all-around setup. It’s the most expensive route, but it also delivers the most grip and the quickest reported sprint to 60 mph.

The standard safety package is generous, and the optional Driving Assistance Professional Package adds even more driver-assistance tech if you want it.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 BMW M3?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop, compare, and wait for the right listing.

• Deal availability: 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 306 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.11% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $89,933, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 BMW M3's resale value?

The current average of $89,958 sits slightly below last year's $93,812.

That decline suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more selectively now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect strong but not immune-to-depreciation pricing, especially if the car is optioned heavily or has higher mileage.

Because the M3 is still a desirable performance sedan, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than many other used cars in this price range. The best resale prospects will likely belong to cars with clean history, desirable trim content, and strong maintenance documentation.

Is the 2025 BMW M3 safe?

The 2025 BMW M3 has not been rated by IIHS or NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, active blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. BMW’s Active Driving Assistant Pro adds radar cruise control, lane-centering, lane-change assist, traffic jam assist, and evasion assist for $1,700.

The standard system is described as seamless and inoffensive for the most part, though forward collision warning can be a little hasty at times. If you want the fullest driver-assistance setup, look for a car equipped with the optional package.

Should I buy a 2025 BMW M3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.11% compared with last year.
• The 2025 update brings exterior and tech refreshes that help keep the formula current.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of this generation’s formula, the 2025 is the right target because it keeps the M3’s core strengths intact while adding mid-cycle updates. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year can still make sense, but the 2025 gives you a strong mix of current features, broad trim choice, and a market that is a bit more favorable than it was a year ago.
