That tells you the market has eased a bit, which can matter if you plan to sell in the near future. A softer price environment may limit upside, but it can also help keep the car competitive if you maintain it well and keep mileage reasonable. Strong condition and clean history should matter more when you eventually list it.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Prius Prime or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory depth, and owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the primary year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the benefits of this year’s market balance.
