Used 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander for Sale near Ohio

How much does the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander cost?

Prices have softened 6.42% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,798 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Safety.

It stands out as a bigger, more fuel-efficient three-row option, and it gives you extra space without moving up to a full-size SUV. The cabin is described as roomy and well built, with plenty of cargo space and a practical layout that suits family use.

The trade-offs are worth weighing: handling is described as poor, and the tech setup leans too heavily on subscriptions for some features. Even so, the combination of space, efficiency, and standard safety equipment makes it a strong fit if you want a practical family crossover.

38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Toyota’s reputation for mechanical reliability is part of the appeal here, and the cabin materials are described as well built and likely to hold up well over time. The Grand Highlander also offers a practical, family-friendly design that should make day-to-day ownership easier.

The powertrain lineup includes efficient hybrid choices alongside the standard gas engine, which gives you flexibility depending on how you plan to use it. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the basic hardware and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained properly and that its tech features work as expected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with lots of family-use wear. Focus on cabin condition, seat wear, and how well the tech and driver-assistance features operate.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The XLE uses Softex synthetic leather, while the Limited and Platinum upgrade to real leather. The XLE gets a 10-way power driver seat, heated front seats, and an eight-way front passenger seat, while the higher trims add ventilation and a heated steering wheel. If you want the most upscale cabin, the Platinum is the top choice, but the XLE already covers the essentials well.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 265 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, a 2.5-liter hybrid with 245 combined net horsepower, or the Hybrid Max with 362 combined net horsepower and 400 combined net lb-ft of torque. The gas and hybrid engines are available with FWD or AWD, while the Hybrid Max is AWD only.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 comes standard and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure alert with steering assist, lane-tracing assist, road-sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. The updated lane-departure alert can identify three-dimensional objects like guard rails, and adaptive cruise control adds four following-distance settings.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and dual-device Bluetooth connectivity. An intelligent assistant, cloud-based navigation, and live agent assistance are tied to connected-services subscription access, so you should check which features are included on the specific vehicle.
• Fuel efficiency: Gas FWD models return 21 mpg city, 28 highway, and 24 combined; AWD gas XLE models return 21/27/23; AWD gas Limited and Platinum models return 20/26/22. The hybrid XLE delivers 36/32/34, the Hybrid Limited with AWD returns 35/21/33, and the Hybrid Max comes in at 26/27/27.

Which 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander is offered in 3 trim levels: XLE, Limited, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• XLE: This is the best-value starting point because it already gives you the core Grand Highlander experience: standard heated front seats, a power driver seat, a large touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. If you want the most practical way into the lineup, this is the trim to start with.
• Limited: This trim is the sweet spot if you want a more upscale feel without going all the way to the top. It adds real leather, ventilation, a heated steering wheel, and the JBL audio system, making it a strong choice if comfort and convenience matter most.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want the most premium version of the Grand Highlander. It builds on the Limited with the highest-end presentation and can be equipped with Portobello upholstery when paired with the top-spec engine.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,798 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.42% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $44,053, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander's resale value?

The current average of $44,299 sits slightly below last year's $47,337.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may also mean a future seller has less room to command a premium. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you should be in a better position when it comes time to sell.

The Grand Highlander’s broad appeal as a roomy, efficient family crossover should help support demand over time. Its strong owner satisfaction rating also points to a vehicle that buyers are likely to keep on their shortlist.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander safe?

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 comes standard and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure alert with steering assist, lane-tracing assist, road-sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. The adaptive cruise system also offers four following-distance settings, which gives you a little more flexibility in traffic.

Because this model year has not been crash-tested by NHTSA or IIHS, you should lean heavily on the standard safety equipment and inspect how well the driver-assistance features work on the specific vehicle you’re considering. The good news is that Toyota makes the core safety suite standard across the lineup, so you do not need to shop for a higher trim just to get it.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It stands out as a bigger, more fuel-efficient option with extra space and two hybrid powertrains.

The bottom line: If you want the Grand Highlander’s roomy cabin, strong efficiency, and standard safety equipment, the 2024 is a compelling choice. If your priority is simply the lowest possible price, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-equipped example in the cleanest condition rather than chasing a specific badge year.
