You should still run a history report on any candidate and confirm there are no hidden accident or title issues. The current average of $37,472 sits slightly below last year's $38,369.

That tells you the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy with less pressure today. For a future seller, the softer trend means resale gains may be more limited in the near term unless demand strengthens. Still, the model’s strong owner satisfaction should help support interest when you eventually list it.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota GR Corolla or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.34% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $36,959, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $37,472 average.
• It brings a bold hot-hatch character with standard all-wheel drive and strong handling.

The bottom line: If you want the current-year balance of pricing, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the cleaner default choice. If you’re more price-sensitive and want to save a bit upfront, the 2023 is worth a close look.
