How much does the 2024 Subaru Impreza cost?

Prices have softened 2.73% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,502 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable range of choices while shopping.

Is the 2024 Subaru Impreza a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Subaru Impreza earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Cost effectiveness.

It stands out as an affordable all-wheel-drive economy car with standard AWD, a comfortable ride, and smart features. The revived RS trim adds more driver excitement, while the overall package is still aimed at practical transportation with extra confidence and versatility.

The main trade-off is that it is more of a refresh than a full redesign, so the updates are evolutionary rather than dramatic. Even so, the market shows 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which supports its value case.

Is the 2024 Subaru Impreza reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Impreza is presented as a practical all-weather compact car with standard all-wheel drive, and the expert review emphasizes a comfortable ride, smart features, and a strong value proposition. Its performance notes also point to a compliant, confidence-inspiring driving character rather than a finicky one.

The RS trim’s added power and traction help broaden the car’s appeal without making it feel complicated to live with. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the concept and more about making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Subaru Impreza?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any listing you’re considering, even if the car looks clean on paper. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the drivetrain, electronics, and tire wear, since condition matters more than mileage alone on a used economy car. Focus on whether the car’s equipment matches the trim level and whether the interior and exterior show signs of heavy use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Base model comes with two 7-inch displays, while the Sport and RS trims get the larger 11.6-inch infotainment touchscreen. The RS also adds side skirts and red interior accents, so base-trim shoppers should expect a simpler cabin and fewer visual upgrades.
• Powertrain: The Base and Sport trims use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque, while the RS upgrades to a 2.5-liter engine with 182 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque. Both use a CVT, and all-wheel drive is standard.
• Safety package: All trims include the EyeSight driver assist suite with frontal collision warning and automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and lane-centering. The Sport adds Starlink communications features, and the RS adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, and automatic emergency steering.
• Infotainment: The 11.6-inch touchscreen is standard on the Sport and RS trims, while the Base model uses dual 7-inch displays. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included on all trims, and wireless connectivity is included on the Sport and RS.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.0-liter base engine is estimated to return 27 mpg city, 34 mpg highway, and 30 mpg combined. The RS is rated only 1 mpg less across the board.

Which 2024 Subaru Impreza trim should I buy?

The 2024 Subaru Impreza is offered in 3 trim levels: Base, Sport, RS.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the value play if you want standard all-wheel drive at the lowest entry point. It keeps the essentials, but you give up the larger touchscreen and some of the convenience and tech upgrades found higher up.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the larger 11.6-inch infotainment screen, wireless phone integration, and more convenience and tech features without jumping all the way to the top model.
• RS: This is the one to buy if you want the most power and the most complete feature set. It adds the 2.5-liter engine, sportier handling, and extra safety and comfort equipment, making it the most appealing choice if you want the strongest all-around package.

All Imprezas come with the EyeSight driver assist suite, while the Sport and RS add more connected and convenience features, and the RS gets the most advanced safety content.

That softer pricing suggests the model has become a bit more accessible for used buyers, which can help keep demand steady. Should I buy a 2024 Subaru Impreza or consider a different year?

• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the latest version of the Impreza’s standard all-wheel-drive formula, plus the revived RS trim and the strongest mix of comfort, value, and usability. If you’re mainly shopping for the lowest possible price, a nearby model year may still be worth comparing, but the 2024 looks like the better pick if you want the most complete version of this generation’s updates.
