About 2024 Rolls-Royce Phantom
The Rolls-Royce Phantom is the high-end automaker's flagship sedan, bringing old-world luxury and style with modern tech and comfort features. ## What’s New for the 2024 Rolls-Royce Phantom The Phantom's almost-half-million-dollar starting price got slightly beefier for 2024, but the car is otherwise unchanged. The automaker offers an almost limitless number of upgrade and customization options for the car, including leathers, color options, and bespoke materials, meaning that most cars leave the factory with a much higher sales price than their MSRPs suggest. ## Design The Phantom is rolling luxury, defined. Its stately looks come from its long straight lines and unique design touches, including reverse-opening rear doors. Buyers can choose from a palette of high-end colors, or they can come up with custom hues to make their Phantom truly bespoke. Rolls-Royce also offers an extended wheelbase variant that brings a massive expansion in rear-seat space and comfort. ## Powertrain Rolls-Royce employs a 6.75-liter V12 engine with 563 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque in the 2024 Phantom. The motor is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive (RWD). While that output would mean outrageous performance from almost any other car, in the Phantom, that engine turns horsepower into silence. At the same time, it’s capable of a zero-60-mph time of around five seconds, so it’s no slouch, even if you can’t hear it coming. The standard air suspension helps the car absorb every road imperfection and iron out every bump along the way. Rolls-Royce also fitted a camera system that detects potholes and other obstacles and adjusts suspension damping accordingly. ## Interior Every Phantom is different, and almost every buyer adds several custom touches to their Rolls-Royce, making it exceedingly difficult to nail down a “standard” configuration. At the same time, there are a few defaults, including high-end leathers, rare woods, and flashy metal accents. The Phantom offers a rear champagne refrigerator, an optional rear-seat entertainment system, and power everything, including door closures. ## Technology Rolls-Royce equips a sizeable touchscreen running a mostly straightforward and easy-to-use infotainment interface. The large display is mounted under a glass panel and is controlled using a dial on the center console. The rear-seat entertainment system features two motorized fold-down touchscreens and a live television tuner. ## Safety Safety testing organizations like the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) don’t crash vehicles from Rolls-Royce or other ultra-luxury makes due to the extreme costs involved. The Phantom does get a full suite of advanced driver aids, however, including forward collision warnings, lane-departure warnings, and more. Buyers can add adaptive cruise with a night vision system. ## Pricing The 2024 Rolls-Royce Phantom starts at around $500,000, but very few are sold at their “base” price. Buyers often add bespoke materials, colors, and equipment that drag the price far higher than the already-eye-watering MSRP number it starts with.

What’s New for the 2024 Rolls-Royce Phantom

The Phantom's almost-half-million-dollar starting price got slightly beefier for 2024, but the car is otherwise unchanged. The automaker offers an almost limitless number of upgrade and customization options for the car, including leathers, color options, and bespoke materials, meaning that most cars leave the factory with a much higher sales price than their MSRPs suggest.

Design

The Phantom is rolling luxury, defined.

Rolls-Royce also fitted a camera system that detects potholes and other obstacles and adjusts suspension damping accordingly.

Interior

Every Phantom is different, and almost every buyer adds several custom touches to their Rolls-Royce, making it exceedingly difficult to nail down a “standard” configuration. At the same time, there are a few defaults, including high-end leathers, rare woods, and flashy metal accents. The Phantom offers a rear champagne refrigerator, an optional rear-seat entertainment system, and power everything, including door closures.

Technology

Rolls-Royce equips a sizeable touchscreen running a mostly straightforward and easy-to-use infotainment interface. The large display is mounted under a glass panel and is controlled using a dial on the center console. The rear-seat entertainment system features two motorized fold-down touchscreens and a live television tuner.

Safety

Safety testing organizations like the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) don’t crash vehicles from Rolls-Royce or other ultra-luxury makes due to the extreme costs involved.
