Should I buy a 2024 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.61% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $47,951, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $48,050 average.
• It offers strong capability with a comfortable, upscale cabin.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $56,588, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $48,050 average.
• It adds more refinement and durability for demanding heavy-duty use.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best primary path if you want a well-liked heavy-duty truck with strong market availability and softer pricing than last year. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2023 is the better value play, while the 2025 makes sense only if you want to pay up for the newer model’s added refinement.
