The user feedback points to a truck that feels dependable in daily use, with a comfortable cabin and a ride that owners trust over time. That same feedback also suggests the model’s appeal is tied to its refined character and the sense that it can be counted on for regular driving.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the truck’s condition matches its premium reputation, especially if it has been worked hard or modified.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 RAM 1500?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the truck’s past use matches the seller’s description. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important if you’re considering a higher-mileage example, a truck with towing use, or one with off-road equipment.

Focus on overall condition, cabin wear, and signs that the truck has been maintained consistently. Because this model can be optioned heavily, you should also make sure the features you care about are working properly.

The current average of $37,343 sits slightly below last year's $39,891.

That decline suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. The current trend is still healthy enough to support resale, especially if the truck is well equipped and in strong condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $36,376, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $37,343 average.
• It emphasizes comfort and refinement with a polished cabin.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $43,660, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $37,343 average.
• It adds a major update with more tech and stronger powertrain choices.

The bottom line:

The 2024 is the best all-around choice if you want a refined full-size pickup with strong owner satisfaction and a healthier used-market price than the 2025. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better value play; if you want the newest tech and are willing to pay more, the 2025 is the upgrade path to consider.
